Many of our members ask this question many times that they don't know the supplier or seller wather they are genuine or fraud.. so how to do???
I usually advise them to visit the suppliers or sellers first even it is far from you to make yourself satisfied that you are dealing with is a genuine and trustable person and they will not keep your money and will not supply you your goods...
What are the opinions of other members...

Replying to [Xiao mu]:It is not necessary to visit supplier personaly, it can be done by your buying agency or inspection agency, and report back.
However, before appointing buying/inspection agent, follow what curdrice has advised.

if the deal is to supply my company with 1 container each week then i think a visit is a must.
But it depnds on the person do they need to check the factory first?
If the factory has a good name there is no need to viist them, what is the purpose of the vist, as many companies in China and help the importers with this.
If any importers want to visit a factory before a deal, make sure you have a plan of many factories and a check list of questions to ask.

Replying to [Xiao mu]:Hi handsome, you are extremely right. If you are placing a big order, it is worthwhile to do that.

As a Buying Agent, I usually encourage the Buyers to do so cos' I feel that it is only justify regardless of the size of the suppliers and manufacturers.

For the large order amount and long term business, it will be best for you to pay a visit.
But for some small order and bluk order, I agree sixer's comment:
"It is not necessary to visit supplier personaly, it can be done by your buying agency or inspection agency, and report back."
