I have a friend from Nigeria, he need my help in China with bellow requirement:
1) Interpretation
2)Inspection
3)Negotiations with business contacts
4)Organize and supervise logistics
5)My personal needs outside business
I am now helping him for big order of mobiles, but now there is a question for how much would be fair to charge, I know Nigeria people can not afford too much to me. for the begining big order, that would almost need to go out with him and inspect mobile every day for the first month. but after, there may nothing to do, and maybe some contact with suppliers and logistics.
we are now confused on which would be the best way to charge and how much would be fair.

Elecpack you would of course charge as much as can justify. What I mean by this is that you would charge according to the value that you are offering the customer.
The product is apparently mobile phones. So if you are an expert in mobile phone technology and have been through the whole purchase process on those products yourself then you could clearly charge a lot more than someone who has only used a mobile phone. There is a value that you offer in that case over all others and an astute buyer would recognize that.
If the customer understands and appreciates the value that you bring then they will likely be happy with the payment, but if you charge too much you may leave them thinking that they paid too much and they therefore try to deal direct.
Mobile phones is a tricky business. Clearly it is an industry that requires specialist knowledge, large order sizes, and enough money to ensure that the product meets the requirements of the market that it is being sold into.
This is a question for your own thought not for an answer here - are you qualified to offer the best service to the customer on this product?

Hello, sorry for my late reply. As I have been going out for inspection of the phones everyday.
well, I am just acting as an assistant to him and to negotiate with suppliers, talk for prices, delivery, inspection.
To be frank with you, it is the first time I deal with mobiles, and they are actually refurbished goods. but I have my experience on some other electronics, acknowlege of plastic wares, moulds, spaying of colors, these all combine together is what the mobile need to be inspected. such like color spraying on the case, case fitting(this need acknowlege of mould), sense on colors, etc.
As for functions, I test the keypad to be signal to ensure every key is working, and make a call to test, and language setting, these are not difficult for me to inspect them.
After inspection, I finished the inspection report that day, so I can describe better for situation of goods. my inspection is not only mean the quality would pass or not, that is a complete detail of the goods. I was pround to heard from him that his clients praise me on the inspection report that is so careful with so many details.
After one full week working on phones, now I know it well and easy for me to operate.
Good on your for showing the initiative and taking on a new challenge.
Hopefully your customer is clear about your role as you see it and the customer understands that you are not an 'electronics expert'. If so then the price agreed to and the work that you are doing should be no cause for disagreement between you.
Personally I think electronics products really require specialist knowledge to really understand what is good quality and what is not, but if your role is agreed as just doing an overall inspection then hopefully there will be problems.
Out of curiosity is the buyer concerned about certification and testing of these products or has he just bought as is?
yes, I do understand what you mean for expert and specialist, that is concerning about electronic devices emit radiation, AIR radiation, EMR, ect. these can only be tested in a lab with the testing machines. Yes, he has another one to help him test on these.
And the goods I inspected is orginal brand board, so, the quality is ok to the board, they are refurbished phones.
