It is important with whom you closed the deal/ contract, eg. to whom did you open L/C or to whom did you pay. Then select a lawyer in the city where your contract partner has his location.

Any China lawyer is qualified to handle the lawsuit of the whole nationwide. It depends on which place will be for more convenient for you to find one to handle the said case.
The whole container? I think both the trading company and the factory should take responsibility for that. Have you ask them to make compensation, like a huge discount or compensate for the total amount of the container?
Sorry that ask you such a stupid question, but I think if the products fail to meet your requirement, and it is definitely their fault, they would take responsibility for that, no company wants to be sue because that would ruin their reputation.
