I think that you should study the needed items for the us market and look at the similar chinese products and their prices.Get information about shipping and customs and taxes on these items.Also, you can work for a an agent office in the US for some time to gain that experience .good luck

Hello Monica Im a new import/export business owner in Miami and I am looking to do business with trust worthy companies in China. I have clients but I need better pricing on bulk shipments. We deal with various products from electronics to paper/plastic bags.

My suggestion is to start with a small biz. Choose a product, take a sample, found a costumer for a small quantity. Surely you have to know about the import Law and safety normative. Be carefull in commerce.. good luck.
