I need to know the difference in strength of TPU and PVC
I realise TPU is the stronger of the materials but how would say 1.1mm PVC compare to 0.7mm TPU and so on with the difference in thickness.
Its for a product similar to an inflatable boat that will take quite a bit of wear and tear.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,
Many Thanks
Peter.
Hi i have found from experience that the TPU .7mm is always better that the pvc as it just performs so much better in the salt water, i have always found pvc to go cloudy if not completely dried., I am having a lot of problems with sellers all selling difernt types of pvc and tpu, its actually quite hard to decipher. I have had a water ball delivered that they said was TPU but i am sure its pvc. As far as i know there is no real way to tell and by the time you got the product its usually to late. Anyway in my opinion true TPU is always the best but make sure its UV stabalised first.
