Here's the info... I have several packages coming from Shanghai to the US.

I was told the packages were too heavy to mail together, so they were sent from 3 different locations on 3 different days.  Fine with me.

I have 3 numbers for tracking them, but the numbers only show up on one document which I can only translate to show that they were at the Shanghai airport on July 24th.  They do not show up anywhere else including EMS.  The numbers begin with CN if that helps.

I emailed the company who sent them and they said that they are coming by sea and it will take 30 days... maybe longer for them to get here.

My question is... does any of this make sense.  I thought china post would only send via air... not by sea.  And if they are coming by air, how long does it take.  They are large heavy boxes, but it has been 23 days now and nothing.  If they can ship china post by sea, how long does that take?

I'm pretty confident I'm not getting scammed... This company really went to a lot of trouble to create a product to my specs and sent me samples... and still replies to my emails.  I don't think they would have done all of that if I was being scammed.

Thanks for any info you can provide... and if anyone can tell me a better way to ship items in the future I'd love to hear it.  Everything seemed to be crazy expensive so I went this route.

Thanks,

Devon

Dear Sir,

I'm in China, and last time i send our sample by China Post-EMS,it was deliveryed by air,and i could check the Track with the EMS number on the EMS website.I think you'd better ask the supplier to get clear information.if it's possible,i can help you to ask them.

I used China post for parcel delivery,it's cheap and quich in domestic. For EMS,it's takes around 10days to reach Germany. There's no tracking information on website, but safely arrived.

It's safe to use China post if you dont urgently need the goods. If not,you may choose some forwarder in China.Their price is reasonable compared to DHL,UPS and so on,but costs more the ship by sea,of course.

maybe this is not good supplier.

I think you can ask some one to visit this company and ask for any reply, So you can decide what to do.

Thanks

Why not use FedEx? TNT, DHL or UPS? if you need the goods urgently.

I am sure this supplier did not use EMS to send, they sent the packages by normal China Post, and China post shipped the packages by Sea, China Post always do the international transportation like this. It is very cheap, but the transit time is very long.

If the goods is more than 45kgs. you can choose normal Airline to ship. It is cheaper than international courier, and faster than Sea.
