i am dealing with a company called gpsgarmin ltd from indonesia... i can not seem to verify there company....has anyone dealt with this company ??? are they a real company? ??? I cant seem to find a web site for them..... Is sending money t/t to there bank a safe way to do business.... im new at this.>>

First I must say your way of import is blind and to ponder if the company do exist or not at the timepoint of paymane is not quite early.
This all has to be done beforehand and this kind of import is risky.
But to solve now the situation, pls. ask you international forwarder if they have an agent in Indonesia, some years ago in Surabaya very strong was a agent called Jumbo with many offices throughout Indonesia.
Anway pls. contact your forwarder to contact their agent in Indonesai which has office near your supplier and check at least the adress or trying to contact them etc.
Tell them you want to do business with them etc.
Your forwarder will then get some information through agent, this is at least to get an idea but of cousre this is no guarantee. At least your forwarder will suggest the agent to give good information and the agent in Indonesai does not want to disappoint his cooperating company on whom he also depends. So the information may be be helpful and a little bit reliful.
If you want to go sure you also can contact SGS for help, you amy ask them that you plan an inspection at this company and they can again check their local service ner your supplier to get some information, amy be they have a record of former inspections on this company's goods of previous delieveries.

What product are they offering for sale? In a lot of cases this in itself helps identify scammers from legit sellers.

Do not send them a dime . You have to call Garmin and ask them where their product is made , chances are it is not Indonesia , and if Indonesia is cheaper I would be more suspicious as how could they sell them cheaper than the actual company!!!!!! That too good to be true is always a scam . I bet you if you looked online you would see where they copy the pictures from the original garmin wed site. If you asked them to send you a picture of the boss holding a GPS unit outside the building where they say they have their big warehouse then maybe. AT least then you would have a picture of scammer to forward to the police later. !!!!!, who in turn would probably do nothing,TOO much scamming going on there and too risky . Save your money this counrty has nothing to offer you, if you look at what it exports it has NO industry to speak of except palm oil and minerals and poor people looking for an easy buck.

GPS ? you can try on some Taiwan and Shenzhen based companies later. Most of the best GPS are made in Taiwan or USA.

Many shop in Indonesia sell GPS but you will not find real shop sell cheaper GPS than in your country , then forget it, sometime greedy will let you to *.
