Post 1 of 8

As an Alibaba supplier member,we get many inquiries everyday .We value each enquiry and reply each carefully. But the buyers always make us feel sad, most of them never send feedback to us.Some of customers have contact with us for several times, then disappear suddenly.Could buyers kindly to tell us the reason? Thanks in advance.

Think like a buyer.

When you reply to a buyer, imagine how many other e-mails he sent in the first place and how many he receives the same time.

There are so many suppliers in China. Just in Alibaba, the supply is uncountable. When a buyer find you from Alibaba that means he also found many others the same time. Alibaba system is just check the boxes and same e-mails go to many suppliers in one time. After comparing all the prices and delivery time, usually buyer reply to the one he thinks is good to deal with.

Be excited when you receive an inquiry is good. But do not expect "your reply must lead to an order". And also if you keep pushing the buyer to get back to you, that would be the biggest mistake. He probabaly will block your ISP from sending him any more e-mail.

Be patience, you will get a lot more chance the get a good deal.

Sometimes customers are researching possible lines and the information you give helps them to decide whether or not there is business to be had with your factory. Sometimes they will come back to you in the future after a period of consideration, sometimes not.

Your job as sales in a factory is provide information to customers. It seems that you are doing that which is good. It is up to the customers to decide what they do with that information.

On my experience there are  certain sets of reasons which are always the same and certain sets which will remain unknown unless you ask the people who desappears one by one.

The mos frequent reasons are:

1) the inquire was aimed to define the costs of a certain programme and the programme was too costly for the buyer; either (it is my case) the project is still on progress and the person is always considering buying opportunities to be ready once the project arrives to its kick-off

2) the inquire was done by a person who,  for given reasons, wanted just  to have a better knowledge of the world offer related to a given product. In such case the customer is either

-a market study firm

-a dealer or a builder who wants to know what is going on about his product

-a customer who wants to close at best a buying process

3) the customer has not a clear idea about what he wants , so is surfing among products without any apparent  logical pattern

Let me know how my reply was rated.

best regards

Yes, no pains, no gains.

Just try your best to continue following your customers. Please be patient.

Don't give up any customers whom have sent you inquiry via your company or products. They are all potential customers.

sometime, they don't reply you, maybe they have the holiday? or they got one business trip? or they didn't receive your email?  Please try to follow them.

Don't give up!   Wishing you the very best of business!! Come on!

Its not that always buyers do not respond, i have purchased a item from a supplier from china, the thing is after the sales is done these supplier are least bothered about the problem the customer faces, quite unprofessional, to name one i will say the supplier name "TAIAN XINKUANG INTERNATIONAL TRADECO., LTD" the contact person name is Colins Wu, iinspite of sending numerous mails he hardly replies, and also these people are tied up with King Freight for their freights, and they give you a very low quotation, and when you go to take the consignment their shiping agent "MAC-NELS" charge as high as $ 250, for lesser than 1 CBM consignment, i just have a word to define them is just "CHEATERS", this is just a warning to other buyers,, please be aware of such Companies..

I even tried contacing the direct "Colins Wu" by phone, and after sales they hardly pick up their cell phones, quite a hard experience.
