Thanks Guys... This company had contacted me for some eco friendly shoppers...After two mails, they wanted 400,000 peices. Who the * buys 400,000 shoppers , at one go.
Its annoying to waste time responding to such mails.... Please Alibaba, there should be strict screening of users.
I totally agree. Altho as long as Alibaba get their gold membership fees i doubt they will bother lifting a finger to stop their gold member scammers. Glad you guys didnt waste a plane journey over to China for these morons!

I too have been ripped off by one of these international slicksters. We the trading community must do a better job of sharing information to potential investors that this money is not needlessly lost and trade seriously harmed with an environment of hesitation and fear. Employees of some of these companies, while working as data receivers, steal contact information and redirect the investor to their website. They then ask for money and send no merchandise. They give a web url that was obtained by copy and paste so that the site checks out. But they are not its representative.
I suggest a practice that is made common on paypal. Send a small amount (even a penny) to be picked up. Follow with a letter in a envelope to the address they gave. They must receive the letter with only the MTCN number. They must retrieve the electronic amount and then email you with both correct information. This makes their identity and address more firm and certain when in need of tracking them down. Still more ideas need to hit this and other forums to stop international trade theft.
Hope I contributed to a possible solution.

Hengyuntrade it is not difficult to get a business registration in China so unfortunately just having a registration number does not really prove the legitimacy of your company. In fact at alibaba we see many scammers who also have company numbers in China.
Your company apparently contacts foreign sellers with promises of large orders for import to China so if you want to help prove your legitimacy you may choose to post your import licence information here. Not all companies can import product to China and in fact I hear that it is very, very difficult. BUt since you are offering these orders to foreign customers I expect that you would be happy to share your import certification to us.
Another thing that may be good to clear your name would be if you post some information about some customers that have successfully dealt with you in the past. Best get their permission first, but I assume that if your company is as big as you claim it is and can place such large orders as you offer then that should be no problem.
I have some questions regarding the information that you have posted online:
1. The following is your contact information as listed online:
Country/Region : China
Address : hanguang road Xian Shanxii, China
Phone : 86-029-81282983
Fax : 86-021-61294083
Contact : Jinfei Yao
Why is your telephone in Xian city, Shaanxi Province yet your fax number is in Shanghai city - about 16 hours distant by train? Must make it difficult to receive your faxes!
2. According to your business registration information your company deals with the following products:
Hardware & Electrical, clothing, labor protection products, general machinery and equipment, the first category of medical equipment, textiles, electronics, office supplies, cosmetics, packaging products, building materials sales; self-employed and agents of all types of goods and technology import and export business.
That is a huge range of products that does not make much practical sense other of course than giving you the ability to cheat sellers offering a wide range of products if that is indeed what you are doing.
So I guess that what I would like to know is through what channels do you sell all of these products in such large quantities that you offer to buy. Feel free to put this information in Chinese as there are plenty of Chinese users here who can help us out.
3. How long have you personally worked for that company?
The reason that I ask is that I have seen cases whereby sales people employed by these 'companies' such as yours soon wised up and realized that things were not as they seemed and then warned potential 'customers' before leaving.
It will be interesting to see your reply.

Firstly, I want to ask you : Are you dare to bare the legal responsibility and lose of our company because of the Malicious attacks this time afte you get the answer from us. We even do not know what you are doing, your company. Why we give you our clinets and customers’ information? Regarding the fax, fax network is the new type fax in China, which has the big advantages , expense is low, easy and quick, the the effect is clear after printing. In Xi’an, there is no such fax network, only Shanghai has. I want to ask why we cannot choose the easy and save way to recive and send fax? Regarding the import and export right, we choose the destination port is according to our customers’ requirement. Some need Shanghai Port, some need Ningbo Port, some need to be transferred from Hongkong. In the past, our business was given to the shipping agent , because they are the local and very familiar about the port, so it is easy. We give them money but can deduct many troubles. Pls understand, we are the inland city, few cities in the interior has the import and export licence. But this affair gave us a experience, we are dealing the applying of import & export. Other questions involves our secrect, if you can suppy your company name, your name and contact information and bear the legal resposibility of this affair, I will answer you one by one.

Hengyuntrade this is your chance to reassure readers that your company is legit. I think the best way to do that is to give everyone confidence that you are a professional company, and attacking and threatening people who question your company is not the best way to show professionalism.
Regarding the fax, fax network is the new type fax in China, which has the big advantages , expense is low, easy and quick, the the effect is clear after printing. In Xi’an, there is no such fax network, only Shanghai has. I want to ask why we cannot choose the easy and save way to recive and send fax?
So let me understand this. You use a fax service in Shanghai as it is cheaper and you can get clearer faxes?
A fax sent to you by a customer does not cost you anything except for the paper that it prints out on. If the quality of the print out in your factory is no good then perhaps you need to get a newer or better machine.
What happens when they receive the fax in Shanghai? Do they then fax that to you in Xian? So are you not going to have the same clarity problem, and is that not going to cost more money and time than just receiving a fax directly?
But this affair gave us a experience, we are dealing the applying of import & export.
So you are an import and export company that offers huge orders and purports to have 60+ employees yet you have no licence to do import and export?
It is not unusual for factories in China not to have export rights as they can export through trading companies that do. There are tax benefits to the factories for doing this. But as you are not a manufacturer but a trading company you would then have to deal through another trading company in order to export and import. That does not seem very practical.
None of this covers the import aspect which is the area that most foreign customers have raised concerns about. Importing product into China is very difficult and is impossible unless you have the correct licences. So how do you manage to import such large quantities of product as per your offers if you do not have an import licence?
In addition I have the following questions:
a. Do you offer large orders to foreign customers for product for import to China?
b. As per the question in the post above why do you not secure samples BEFORE placing orders?
c. Why do you not take the time to visit the factory in their country before entrusting them with such large orders?
d. Do you invite customers to China to sign contracts? If so why?
e. Can you give us here a reference of a foreign supplier that you have successfully ordered product from and who would be willing to verify that you are a good customer?
My interest here is in the truth. If you are a legitimate company that has been wrongly accused here then this will become evident and I will defend your company to that end. If however you fail to explain how your company comprises a legitimate enterprise then the cloud of suspicion over your company will remain and there is nothing that I can do to make that go away.
