I import from China to Cyprus various items in small quantities.I think i pay a lot of money

in air freight.

Is there any way to reduce the costs?

Hi motografix,

After looking at all the different ways of air freight into Cyprus from China or Hong Kong i came to the conclusion that   ems/Datapost service is the cheapest way, not cheap but the cheapest way from all the rest. I bring products to Limassol/Cyprus as well, at the moment i am bringing a 20kg package, my package will not be ready until 7th of September i am worried about the freight as i am sure it will be worth more than the actual products in it,  but i will keep you posted on the final freight price.

Hi Andreas,

I would suggest you to get in touch with some good freight forwarders (who specialize


in China trade) in your city and speak to them about this. They should be able to help


you bring your freight charges down, depending on your volume and frequency.



They should also be able to offer you both air and sea freight - you can choose the one


most suitable for you. Through their China/HK agents, they should also be able to help you 

consolidate your shipments into 1 or 2 lots, so as to bring down your costs.

Do you use to ship by Air?  how many parcels would ship to you in a month?
