Why is is always that buyers have to trust sellers first?

I find it rediculous that sellers expect buyers to trust them and send them money via WU and TT, especially that the ratio of buyers being scammed by sellers is way higher than the opposite. Why do sellers expect buyers to trust them first, but I bet if you ask them to send you the goods first, they will freak out.

I think for this site to make sense and thrive, there needs to be some sort of buyer protection. Removing companies from the site is not enough because an hour later they can register with a brand new name and voila; they 100% legit.

I think following eBay example and the feedback pint system will make both buyers and sellers take this site more seriously. I also think a payment service similar to paypal will give buyers more courage to take risk and buy good from somebody half a world away knowing thet they can still get their money or part of it if the deal falls through.

Any ideas?

Friend,

Have just now seen your posting. My view is that-

TRUST SHOULD BE THERE FROM BOTH THE BUYERS AND SELLERS.

Otherwise no business can be done.

I am 100% agreed with you. When I contacted any companies from China, they always asked me to send them money first with out any protection from my part. They were afraided that buyers would not pay them. They never thought of sellers could cheat buyers in so many ways.

I recently contacted a company by the name of Anhui Minmetals Development I/E Co., Ltd for Ethyl Vanillin. The price was quoted to me at $US23.00/ kg, CIF but they asked me to wire $US100.00 to cover the cost of 10g sample and postage.

Personally, I think  protection from both end is more important than trust.  Since we are doing our marketing online, why cann't sellers invest a little and give the buyers protection they deserve by applying for a Paypal account to establish a trustee relationship.

I got Scamed !!! I sent Money and its been 500 hours since that. I was told I would get my shipment in 48 hours. They should have a Escrow Service. This protects the buyer because it releases the payment only after the buyer has reecived the items.
