I have lately been thinking about selling sports jerseys, hats, window decals, shatter balls and some other items at our local sporting events, St. Louis Cardinal and St. Louis and Rams. I was going to buy the items through some suppliers I have found and take them down there and sell the on the corner outside the stadiums. What type of problems does this pose? It it legal? Do you think it would be profitable? Any thoughts or ideas would be great? Does anyone else do this themselves or know of anyone? Do I need a license or permit to do it out of my car?  Thanks in advance.

A lot of the questions that you ask would be answerable on a city ordinance level so you probably best make enquiries locally to ensure that you get the most correct information.

Regarding the jerseys however you would need to be careful to obtain those from legitimate sources. A lot of teams brand their name and own the licencing rights to products that bear their name. So if the jerseys you are planning to sell are team name jerseys then you best contact the relevant teams to determine the best way to obtain licenced product or perhaps get the rights to use their name on your products which will likely cost you a fee.
