I'm trying to find a legitimate wholesaler of shimano, daiwa, penn, etc, fishing tackle and equipment.

Nothing really shows up for companies in the U.S., and after reading numerous forum topics, i know indonesian and chinese companies are mostly scammers.

Should Singaporean dealers be considered scammers also?  I can't find any with trustpass certification, and all their prices seem too good to be true.

If they are scammers, does anyone know of any good wholesalers/distributors in the states that are good to do business with?

Thanks in advance

You guys are the lowest form of vermin on the planet ... one of the thousands of mainland China sellers getting China a terrible name in the rest of the world.

So low, you have even stolen the official Olympic symbol to stick on your website.    [em6]  [em6]  [em6]

Dear [songdavidj]:

How do you know they are from Singapore?

Find out their proper name, all Singapore companies are registered with the Government, and regulating body, named ACRA.

Get their business registration number and check up online if this company really exists. Check out their phone number and fax number, most frauds use only a mobile phone number, which is more difficult to trace, and no physical address.

Check with the online Yellow Pages for the company name, and phone number. However the scammer can use legitimate registered company name and contact number to cheat unaware victims, check the name of the person with the registra of companies.

However even after confirming the authenticity, the existence and registration of the company, it is no guarantee that you cannot be cheated, there are some unscrupulous person who will still cheat you.

David,

I fish as a hobby and I live in Singapore. There are only dealers of the above brand in Singapore, I am not aware of any wholesaler.  In fact wholesale fishing stores are rare in this part of the world. There may be discount houses that buys in bulk certain pieces of tackles and offer these for sale ..... not sure about these vendors but I hear they have good deals occasionally.
