Hi all, i have been looking for supplies of consumer electronics that state they accept paypal as a method of payment, after much searching over the last few weeks i have only managed to find one supplier to date that offers this method of payment, perhaps i am looking in the wrong places, most seem to offer only western union or TT options.
Does anyone have any idea how i may be able to source the suppliers that will accept paypal payments for consumer electronics, any such information will be much appreciated.

First off there is no security in PayPal transfers to other countries outside of the Ebay platform. So you really need to go back and read about transfers to other countries. besides this PayPal has a limit on how much can be sent per day. Last time I looked it was about $5,000.00USD. Which means your looking for small quanities of products.
There are some Chinese distributors that do accept this kind of payment, but the per piece prices are higher than if you sent payment via T/T. The reason being is the added costs with accepting this kind of payment. On $5K their added costs could be as low as $195.00USD or as much as $245.00USD. Where normal costs would be $25.00USD to $50.00USD for their bank charges. Your only savings from PayPal is that they do not charge you to send money. Which means you might save $25 -$35USD, but becuase your paying more per piece you save nothing and infact are paying more than another buyer would pay for the same product who is making payment by T/T.
Having a business account with a major bank is also a great idea, as the costs associated with transfering money internationally can be very inexpensive since in most cases there will be no intermediary bank charges added to the cost of the transfer.

Hi, thanks for your information regarding paypal it is very much appreciated, i did;nt realise there is'nt security for paypal outside of the ebay platform or the cost to the Chinese supplier for accepting paypal was higher than TT or Western union.
My main reason for wanting to use using paypal as opposed to TT or Western union was because of the time factor involved between accepting and proccessing the order. Accepting money from my customer into my paypal account and then using TT or Western union means i would have to wait for 3 to 5 days for paypal in the United Kingdom to clear the payment into my business account before i am able to to forward the money by TT or Western union to my Chinese supplier, but by using paypal to pay my Chinese supplier i would be able able to proccess the order striaght away , i am only a small business with limitted funds at present, so i am unable to pay large ammounts up front unless i get a credit agreement with my bank.
Kind Regards
Neil
