The reason you are finding it hard to find foreign customers is an uncomfortable fact, but its true: Foreign companies will not fully trust Chinese companies, espiecially on the internet.

There are many many great Chinese companies with good quality and service. However there are also some bad companies that will cheat you. So in a way, you can understand.

How do you solve this problem? Well, first, try to show your potential customers that you are sincere and honest. Second, try to find foreign business partner, that can bring you customers.

For me, I am planning to set up service company. I will source goods for foreign customers and find customers for people in your situation and charge a small commission. I am a European living in GuangDong, ShenZhen. I feel becuase I am freinger here in China, customers are more likely to trust me.

you can  try the following steps to promote your products.

1th,you should  be familiar with  foreig trade knowledge such as all kinds of payment terms(T/t D/P,L/C),processing of the foreign trade,and then you can communicate with your potential customers freely .nobody want to do business with the man who are not familiar with the trade procedures.

2th,to be expert in your industry.i think you are qualified for this ,as you have been a salesman for years.pls ever remind that profeessional will get you access to closing a contract.

3th,advertising your products.you can choose the website or canton fair or other exhibition.

advertising is the most important for business. you should let more people know what's your company specialized and what products you have ,how much competitive your prices are ?

4th,find a broker in the countries your products need to be exported.personally ,i don't think it's a good way to do like t his,as we are hard to control your broker abroad.there will be very risk if your broker refuse to pay you after get your products and sold out.

5th,show your best service and honesty to customers.it works well .

6th,learn more and more experience during the  works and life

Looking at your situation, you've mentioned that you have send alot of e-mails to potential buyer or inquiries.  Firstly, the e-mail must be attractive enought to catch their attention to read further.  And secondly it must be straight to the point with picture attached.  Not the full range but your "MOST" sellable ceramic tiles.  The price will be given to them after they reply your e-mail.  This will give them a feeling of asking for more information on the products.
