I guess you didnt give your customer good price. You gave him very good price. That also creates doubts.

Replying to [Sunny Wu]: Here is a typical application of customer Psychology. There is a very clear and huge difference between Price and Value. They may be entirely unconnected. For example the product may be very high price but represent very poor value in the eye of the customer. At the same time there may be a product that is very low in price but represents excellent value to the customer. Customers continously evaluate their perception of price and value before making a purchase.
In your case your customer has no value perception - so you need to educate him on this aspect of good value at a low price. Providing a sample is one such mechanism to establish value for your product in the eyes of the customer.
Advertising , publicity and marketing help establish value in the minds of the customer. Public endorsement of products by celebrities have a huge impact on the perceived value.
So thing in terms of value and not price. May be you can command a very high price , if only you can establish a high value for the product. In this situation you can retire early and enjoy your spare time that would represent great value to you.
Best wishes.

I also meet this kind of problems in my businesses, and confused about these.

As i am a "trainee" in foreign trade, i have been searching for this answer for a long time. And here i have one:
Our China is famous as a "world factory", and most factories now would rather hire some staffs do foreign trade themselves to sell their products though trading companies. Then this problem comes, these factories all offering the same request a very low prices. So the buyers have much choices on this. They will select some quotations low in prices and more professional in terms. Buyers,Is this right?

That's because it's popular the products from China do not achieve the standard quality. Another reason might be the prices you quoted are very much lower than the local one.

Replying to [Sunny Wu]:as a quotation, there is no surprise i think ,really sometime when i sourced the same product from different providers.they give me different price, sometime it is a large difference,so i always ask the same question, really know why the same product with large different price
but if you keep in touch for a long-term,then you will know everything(first of all is product quality and credit standing of your company).

Replying to [Sunny WuI think most are concerned it sounds too good to be true. That coupled with every provider abroad only accepting western union or bank transfers and it smells even worse.

Sunny!

You should also look at possibility of specification difference of two products. If you have quoted reasonable price but the buyer is considering it low due to quality problem, may be he has gotton quotation for the same kind product with different specification.

I give you an example.

Any brand of a 21" TV Made in Japan will be most probably higher in price as compared to a same brand 21" TV Made in China.

So, don't you worry about behavior of the buyer; just explain the specifications and quality of your product in advance when quoting and tell him that you keep your prices reasonable because you produce on mass scale and your production cost is low.
