Paypal is not secure for non-ebayers: It only protects the buyer, when the item is not received

"PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy: This policy applies to purchases that are made on non-eBay websites, or eBay websites that do not offer policies similar to this PayPal Buyer Protection Policy. This policy only applies to claims of “item not received”.

Most scammers would void this policy, by sending you JUNK.  When scammers send you junk, theres nothing you can do. Paypal wouldnt even look at it, because its non-ebay. They only protect ebayers;

"The item received is 'significantly not as described' in the eBay item listing. An item is 'significantly not as described' if, in PayPal's opinion, the seller misrepresented (including by omission of information or by giving incorrect information) the details of the item in a way that affects its value or usability. Please note that this does not include cases where you are merely disappointed with the item or where the item did not meet your expectations."

 

Paypal with  non-ebay product = not secure!

Paypal with ebay product = very secure!

I have used PayPal over 700 time and have never had any issues, it is safe to use and there is insurance on all transaction.

A couple of people have posted here that they have used Paypal when buying items in China without any problems.

My question is did you have any claims under the Paypal system and were they in your favor?

My point is that if you were dealing with legitimate companies then you could have sent cash in the post (not recommended and actually illegal but just making a point here) and still received product without any problems.

The problem is that if you happen to be dealing with a scammer then there are ways around the security that Paypal likes you to think you have when buying through them. A couple of people have touched on these issues above.

Paypal used with legitimate companies = no problems

Paypal used with scammers = the same as sending cash, your money is gone and you wont get it back.

It's not easy for me to accept paypal,as I don't know what risk it will have .

I agree this appointment that most factories in China didn't accept paypal

and most seller are welcome when I use paypal.. 

It is mean is secure using paypal ... 


why I use paypal? because I want one gate policy for my finance activity


but, i do not want a higher fee for that .. yes paypal fee is High

You have to be very careful it's not as secure as you may think.

Only yesterday a payment received over a week ago and listed as completed was removed from my account and returned to the buyer without any notification to me.

I've lost £205 plus the goods, their bank had refused the funds and closed the buyers account,

I've also had paypal assist buyers to cheat me by returning money to them on there say so.Stay clear take cheques or postal orders and send goods once the cheque has cleared.

i think L/C is good

My personal experience is negative while i had to deal with a phised version of the original and with the troubles you can imagine my credit card was totaly PIRATED . My bank (BPCA) refunder me immediatly wich  reduced the trouble , i am still trying to get  my account anihilated but there are still  paypall and FAKES in my computer!
