My guess is that most buyers fall into one of two categories:
1. Those who don't care too much about this issue are satisfied with a factory's assurance that all is in order and with relevant logos on packaging;
2. Those who take this matter very seriously and get their hands dirty ensuring that everything is in order.
The latter are quite likely too busy to get involved with this forum hence the lack of discussion on the matter here. Hopefully that may change in the future.
Quoting from [Arnoud]:
You know what... i have like so many CE, ROHS, WEEE related questions... but unfortunately i cannot find lots of related questions + answers here really... Sure there are some posts (Aussie mostly) which r like excellent and i ve read those like 25 times or so... but how come that s where it stops?
I mean this certification, testing issue is so crucial (or is it all exaggerated??) and yet it s not really here on this forum. Is it me?
Why not address your questions with the source of the standard, or with one of the many websites and or forums directly related to CE, RoHS WEEE standards.

That was a very well written post by the way Aussie. It nicely summarizes the whole issue. And yet i wonder if it will come across. Did Alibaba respond to it in any way? I mean, shouldn't they sort of show leadership and set a good example?
