This is a subtle joke. It is bahasa Malaysia, not Indonesian, and aired in Singapore TV.
The student is only able to count with his fingers. When teacher asked him to put his hands in the pockets, to count 5 + 5, he gets 11. Which he counted one extra, but after removing hands from pocket, he could count 10.
