they have lots of stores and money and want to inspect the goods in person to make you can meet their demand

Normally when a big company buys stuff abroad they include clauses in supply contacts, for pre-shipment inspections. They are mostly some acceptance tests as specified in specifications for that item.

If the goods are of highly technical nature these tests are specified in relevant specifications. For instance IEC standards cover electrical goods. Then Target will come and your business will be to arrange the tests so taht they can do it by themselves or your engineers will do it so that they can witness. And basic hospitality is very welcome to have good business relatrions.

The other aspect of these visits are to satisfy themselves, that your company has the capacity to give the quqntity and quality of the goods they require.

For those who have been asking........ TARGET is a very very large retailer in the USA (and also I think still in other countries, but not same corporate structure).

They are not quite as large as WALMART who is the biggest. Target is probably 2 or 3 in rank.

btw. there is no way they just decided to come to your factory....... they would have set it up long before if this is the real target and not a scammer
