It will be very hard for you considering your untrue paradigm.  If cost is what you see the drawback, then it would seem that you would have a need to establish a manufacturing operation in China to produce the product at a lowwer price.  However, you should understand that although China tends to import well made goods from abroad the goverments real attempt is to manufacture goods that can be sold to their own population.

If you already know that your prices are high for the Asian market, then you would

need to come up with a marketing plan that would help establish - justifiably-  why your product costs more. Your quality could be much higher than what comes in from China -

you would need to "educate" your potential customers about the differences.

A trip to your intended Asian countries would help, as it will give you a proper idea of

what you are coming up against. Advertising in mags, on TV and on the internet would

help as well. It depends what budget you are on too.

Remember that it will take time and patience to build up anything worthwhile. I guess

you know that China makes a lot of cheap MP3s/Mp4s now. What makes people like

me stick to the more expensive iPod ? Now there's a thought - it's a brand I trust with

quality that never fails to deliver. It's a brand that is innovative and that always comes

up with designs that leave the rest of the market in awe....so much so that more than

half  of China's MP3 manufacturers have ripped off Apple's designs....

Good luck.

Hello people I'm back to assist anyone that needs good coaching.

I have reread many of the comments on many topics and find that most respondents never really do the topic or question justice.

First I think this question is a valuable one for many reasons.

First many companies don't have a clue or the right staff to enter into a global market, second most companies are under funded for an endeavor such as entering a "NEW" market.

To facilitate your concerns let's look at the low-cost method of entering a country or market. In order to sell to otherwise a competitor's customer you need to identify the major players in that market that already sell the competitor's products. Look at their website, contact them as a normal customer would and find out what they are doing to make sales.

This is similar to reverse engineering and very good way to advance your efforts very cheaply. It may be considered spying but no matter what anyone says you should always know your competition.

After you do your research and get all the right intelligence you need to do the numbers, find out what things are selling at and how you can and cannot compete.

Many products are being sold in 3rd world countries that are rather costly but they seem to find a market there.

Next you want to find a broker or multi-line company in the categories you are able to sell into. Don't give any exclusives and be sure to set targets and selling price goals.

There are many companies looking for new products to market  and you never know who can do the best job until some time has gone by.

You should set-up different strategies to test each approach. You'll be suprised how each channel can reach different types of customers.

In addition you need to coordinate with that country's national chamber of commerce, they can help you with checking a company's reputation and also verify the company.

There is so much to offer in this question, I'm sure this is a great start and know that there are many professionals who can get you started.

I am a business consultant and I specialize in all facets of business development.

Please email me and I can address issues and help you with your company's needs.

Good luck in your business endeavors.

I think there are several methods for you to enter the market:

1, do some advertising to introduce your products to your target market.

2. find a reliable partner to be your sole agent  and  take advantage of their marketing resources to push the sales of your products on the target market.

3. establish your own subsidaries to push the sales on the target market.

if your products are really good in quality and with some special advantages, you could surely market them successfully.

best wishes
