She is my good friend and roommate in the university, she lives in rural and also has a little brother who is in middie school, so she only gets 250RMB/month from her parents every month.

We both graduated in 2007. I went to the South and she went to Beijing. She said that she is working at a small company as a secretary.

The thing which makes me feel curious is that she told me she can earn more than 10,000RMB/month! My study is much more better than her at school, but I only get 3000RMB/month now, so I feel very much strange! Later, we met online, I found her to become open than the original, and when I mentioned her work, she always evaded, I am worried about her!

What is the problem with her? I really want to help her, so I hope you guys can give me some suggestions!

There are many possibilities somebody can make that much money, and there are also many reasons why somebody might just _say_ that she is making that much. If she doesn't want to talk, there isn't much you can do... unless you feel like she is in an economical problem, doesn't want you to know, you have the money to help her and believe she should have enough confidence in you to tell you the truth. That's the only way I can see you might continue asking.

when someone needs something, like your classmate who needs money money, maybe he will do somethng to get what he want.

So it will be difficult for you to return his thinking unless herself learned something from the matter.

I think if she likes the life there, just let her go.... If she don't like, she will leave, I jsut hope that time will not too late...

I also know verywell that most of the womens in a china working as a sales person or working in operations get around 3000 RMB per month. what you said is quite amazing. But she might be true or may be she is just doing show off. If you really worried, i am sorry for you. It is her life, let her live the way she is? you have done your best to tell her what you feel. So dont worry about her, just take care of your life? worry about yourself and your future..........bye.

First, we have to establish your motive, and your emotions towards this ex-classmate of yours. Finally, we got to tell you that the position in class or the performance in the school does not necessary carry forward to the workplace.

To you 10,000 Yuan is a lot of money, which translates to US$1430.00. This is not much for the International standard. She could be working for a foreign company which pays about US$5,000 for a Secretary. The place is different, she is in Beijing, and you are in the South, probably in Guangzhou.

Could it be that you are jealous? Why not congratulate her on her good salary.

[em19] After insisting so much in this aspect, I begin to think the same as Dick. Except in the oriental culture this could be "normal".

I agree with Dick and Alina, [em24]  Please don't think if you're more clever than your friend and then your salary must be same or higher.

And also the salary is normal if she work at foreigner company. Please kindly think more possitive to your friend

Davadi

If you want to help her out, it seems difficult because we can not change ones character easily.

What we should to do is give her  more courage, maybe oneday she have a decision to chang her  life. Best regards
