Stop. Stop. Stop.
We're losing sight of reality here.
We might as well post fairy wings as post lists of bare links.
Let's go back to square one. The MISSION is to identify outstanding topics worth reading for members who can't visit all 22 forums (and what sane person could?).
Integral to that Mission is to describe the topic content in 1 or 2 sentences.
Nobody in their right mind will go through the messy biz of copying / pasting all the bare links from this topic to their browser.
We must say what the topic is about and why it is worth reading ... that's the Mission.
If we think a topic is worth reading then we must sell, sell, sell why it is worth reading. It's good practice to hone our marketing skills too. Everything in this world must be sold and sold hard ... convincing members to put their valuable time to go read a topic in a forum they don't normally visit is no exception to the reality that everything must be "sold".
The real Mission is not to glorify a member of the week ... the Mission is to identify outstanding posts worth reading. If "Member of the Week" name of this topic is obscuring the real Mission of identifying outstanding / most helpful posts ... maybe, just maybe, we ought to rename this good creature.
