Girls or boys, which one are good at sales?

I believe that sometime the girls mix  emotions inside business in some critical situations.

So our business sometime involve to emotions.  Girls are good at selling and also boys are good, but boys are a little complicate because they all the time have some other thinking in mind  that oh, why manager sell, why not me? As I read in another topic "sex really sell" and that's true, poor man!

There are several factors that come into play, here I list a few:

2. A man is often desperate in making a sale, a Girl might be just as desperate but they know how to be modest and be "hard to get", thus they can play a game with the customer not showing the desperate interest in selling. This in turn will make the buyer believe they have found the right supplyer as the sales person is not desperate on selling.

3. A girl can flirt and keep an unformal tone with a male buyer, and lats face it, if the true number for sales persons are 80% girls I would guess 80% of the buyers are male. Great match!

Thats some insight from a Norwegian buyer. I think male sales persons are just as good, as long as they are good salespersons. Persons just of the street or not suitable for sales will always fail, honesty and quality is the only thing that counts, so good luck whatever gender you are.

I asked the reason from 25 managers in China and they answered that, Girls know English much better than boys and they have more ability of selling! Also they believe the girl should be beautiful so come and start working!

Agree in many points, when it comes to sales over the counter, it is the girls who sell more than guys. This is what they called sex-sells. But this is only over the counter, and the other factor, such as the X-factor also has a lot to do with the sales.


Men are attracted to women naturally, and some women are also buying for comestics or dresses, through a sales girl. However, it is not just any woman, the sales girl has to be extroverted, eloquent, pretty, slim, young and good flair of language and like to meet people, also has good knowledge of her product.

The employee who works in sales department , not only better at english or other foreign language ,but also need more other  talent , just as IQ , negotiation , knowledge of products !

there is some difference between girls and boys indeed, but i think the sales achievement is depend on whether he or she working hard or not ,tring  her or his  best  to do business or not !  learn more ,work hard ,will be sucessfull , nothing is impossible !  so boy or girl is not very important ,

In  my opinion ,   i  think   boys  have  more  ability   than girls .  Many   different   characts   makes  different  results.
