A girl plus a boy is the best selling pattern, eg. Insurance company.
Though i want to vote for girl, but in reallity, there are many boys are good sellers. ![]()

I think sales is related to one's character, hardwork, etc.

To be frankly , I agree that boys are good that selling. They have some characters which girls do not have .
Ya ,that truely,some foreigners is so letch.
Even i am a boy,they always mistake me a girl for seeing my name and insist on see my personal pics.

It means everybody has his strengths and weekness.
So I think study each other with them is the best way to be a good sales.
As the managers said a beautiful girl can does the best and if she knows English and has some simple skills this would be the best choice for a manager. When I was in I realized that almost all sellers are girls and women and on the other side men and boys were reading newspaper.
I think girls are more active than boys because they are more social and they would like to make new relationships even for a few minutes!!! ![]()
Im from Scandinavia (Norway), and have imported several products from diferent Asian companies. I think Girls are better when it comes to sales from Asia to Europe and the US.
There are several factors that come into play, here I list a few:
1. European girls are used to a free and democratic system, thus a Girl is expected to be honest and true when she gives her opinion. When I get quotes and product information from a Girl, I believe her to be honest.
2. A man is often desperate in making a sale, a Girl might be just as desperate but they know how to be modest and be "hard to get", thus they can play a game with the customer not showing the desperate interest in selling. This in turn will make the buyer believe they have found the right supplyer as the sales person is not desperate on selling.
3. A girl can flirt and keep an unformal tone with a male buyer, and lats face it, if the true number for sales persons are 80% girls I would guess 80% of the buyers are male. Great match!
Thats some insight from a Norwegian buyer. I think male sales persons are just as good, as long as they are good salespersons. Persons just of the street or not suitable for sales will always fail, honesty and quality is the only thing that counts, so good luck whatever gender you are.
