Hi All, We are establishing a fashion retail business in Melbourne, Australia. We have established contacts in Guangzhou, China.
What are trying source manufacturers whom we can deal with directly, instead of cutting through mountains of trading companies.
Does anyone know of any companies, who we can deal directly with and you are able to manufacture to our requirements, in Guangzhou?
Required products: Up to date fashion Leather Dress shoes for both men and women. Let me stress the leather component (Cow hide), which is of the utmost importance for my companies image. We will be rebranding the shoes, with my companies’ logo.
Further more, we will like to have shoes sizing beyond the normal European shoes sizing...
Also we will be China for the Canton Shoe Fair, in October.

You best post a buying lead on the correct area of the site to get good responses.
If you deal direct and you brand the products with your own name and packaging then you will likely be looking at high minimum order quantities. Sometimes trading companies can help you to get those minimums down.
I recommend that you make initial contact with the factories and then if you cant get what you want order wise then proceed to a trading company to see if they can get the pieces to fit.
If you think that dealing direct will be cheaper then you may find that you need to rethink that strategy - but have a look anyway and see what you find.

Some of the very best shoe manufacturers are in and around Bejing but as Egernia says your order quanities will have to be high and on a monthly revolving minimum to get a decent contract.

That is the problem, its hard to cut through all the fat, we have been looking for months to find that supplier, who is able to meet our request/requirements, but we are getting closer. i suppose I was looking for that Golden Goose.
