T/T is not as complicated as L/C, also comparatively safe.
As I know, some foreigh cheat are skilled in using L/C to cheat China's suppliers, especially from India. Most China's supplier has enough trust.

For European countries, they also use T/T in their mutual trade.

Sometimes it will concern with the tax, and company's runing tax.
LC must use the company's verification sheet own, but sometimes, the factory's products will not worth to use a sheet, then they will prefer the TT.

Verfication sheet will concern with the tax returned, 17% VAT will be added on the cost, then the price will raise up, then customer will not like it, many problem will be caused the supplier's mind.

Also the verification sheet has the quantity limited every month, so they will use the verification in the proper orders.

Without the verification, they couldnt export the cargos to the oversea.

But TT will avoid many this kinds of problem, it is much easy for their finance control, so they prefer the TT, it is casued on the policy of Chinese goverment and others.

But if the large amount, you request the LC, The factory should consider about it. It is safe to each other.

Hello,Everybody. My views is everything has adventure, but you should think it over before you make the choice. Especially for the payment methods. Just T/T or L/C both ok.

Best Regards,

Most Chinse shy away from L/C mode of payment when entering negotiations and insist on T/T mode
Is it ignorence? Is itFear Of Unknown or plain lack of Confidence?
Or they can not meet deadlines of delivery inherent in L/C terms? Feb 16, 2007 Dear Friends, To-day , eleven months after I post this topic, i can feel proud that a large number of members have put forward their views, some of which are really thought provoking. Let us now start thinking and suggesting what are ways and alternatives to this trade barrier of sorts, so that more trade is encouraged and everyone feels secure.
