Now, almost two weeks goes by, I begin to familar with my workmates.

There are many persons like me here who are not graduated from school for a long time, may be just one or two years.

One lunch time, a yong man tell me that his major is legal but now he is an international trade man now.  and he feels not very happy.

Is he meet the Mr. Wrong? Because what he do is no business with his major in university. [em4]

Hi Emily,

There is no right nor wrong. There is perspective.

The majority of ppl in life wants to do A learn B and finaly works in C.

In the case you have brought, I would have ask him .. "would you be happy if you practice law?"

In law there are many fields too. Insurance , Contracts, Corporate, Criminal etc.. some are boring some exciting. In some he will be happy  and some he might not.

The reason he is in the trade business it's cause he choose the path that lead him to it. Every choices we make build our path in life.

I would advice him to check deeply why he is not happy, choosing the the reason he chose its just too easy.

P.s. lilypan  I liked what you wrote and to add somthing more on impossible..

Impossible =  I m Possible ....  as I said before its all a matter of perspective [em1]

Be Realistic Demand the Impossible ! [em1]

I don't think major is important when you choose job.My major is literature but now i am also international trader, and i love my job, because when i do well in it i can get so much fun with adventure, it is romantic as well as good novels.

So i feel literature is related to business too.Maybe between every two things there is some connection you can find.

Your major is literature? [em17], my major is journalism, but now i am a international trader too.

Do you like reading books? Would you recommend some?[em7]

Frank Yeo is my name, some call me Yoyo (I have explained to Germex why I have got this nickname).

Yes, Singapore is beautiful, depending on how you look at it. I personally think that China is one of the most beautiful place on earth and that is not trying to patronise you.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. And one actually need to look at the brighter picture to truly appreciate the good behind all the blemishes.

I heard a story from one of China very renown speaker. She told the story of a great teacher.

Once the great teacher was approached about life. So he took out a pice of white paper and then with his brush, he paint a small black dot on the paper and then he ask his audiences to comment on what they see.

All try to explained what the dot represent and all have their theory about the black dot.

Finally the great teacher explain. This is the problem with us human, we only see the small black dot but forget about the piece of white paper. The black dot occupied only less then 01.% of the whole picture, yet everyone focussed on it and ignore the paper.

This is a lesson we have to learn to look beyond the small blemish and forget that the greater part is still beautiful and unaffected.

China is beautiful, your job is beautiful, many things are beautiful if we care to look. All the small hiccup, and unhappiness is temporary and should not stop us from lokking beyond that and enjoy the better thing behind.

Cheer
