Yes, you maybe right. Chatting needs the right time . But mostly, it depends on you and yourself.You should ask for youself some questions: Have you understood what the clients wants clearly ? Have you known their companies , their history, foreign manners in the culture from clothing , dining , social etiquette, custom taboo and so on. ?
It yes, you will find chatting will become easier. Being a talkative sales person is not easy.You need to read many books on thers fields.

Clients like a baby, means you need pay attention to them. Sometimes you can send some greetings or wishes to them, thery will appreciate what you have done. No client would like to place an order to you at once. They also need time to evaluate you and your company. After that , if they think you are a trusted partner, they only place an order to you. The time of order placed maybe one month( fast), or one year ( middle), or two years.(longest). I have a friend who is an export sales , told me that he have been keeping follwed up with a oversea client for over one year. At last , this client placed a big order to him. He was happy to death. But he think he deserve it.
So are you ready for this sutiation if he was you ? but on condition that first you don't know when the clients wil place an order , of course. .
Clients like a baby, we need time , careness, kindness and more patience to do business with them. ![]()

Very happy to hear it.I had same feelings to you one year before when i was working as export sales.But i met some not so friendly foreigners either.So be careful to every customers.Of course,your good service and products wins respect from them.Both of you treat each other like brothers or sisters.That is the happiest time during the work.Anyway,i am sure you will be successful keeping enthusiastic to communication.
Well, thanks very much for your agreement. In fact , being a good export sales is not so easy. You have to learn a lot for this export field. I have met many kinds of business foreigners. But if your price and goods meet their expectation , they still like to do business with you. Some times, when we are become familiar, they can tell us a lot ,about his business, his family, his hobbies and so on. You can learn a lot from them. ![]()
Although sometimes we came across some difficulties in Export, as an export sales, we still keep enthusiasitic about work and life. Do you think so ?

I am also a green hand in foreign trade. My boss ask me to send emails to many clients which we can their name card from lighting trade fairs. But a few reply my letter, I feel very depressed.
