In fact , I like this position -- overseas sales.  Most important, I enjoy the happiness of communication with overseas clients.  Most of them are very intelligent, smart, humorous  and kind. They teach me a lot on life and work.

So please be kind and friendly to treat every client as friend.  Friendship comes first, business comes second.

hello,

I have a good communion with our client for many years,but now,since the exchange of RMB and USD,the increasing labor cost,etc..we must add the price in order to keep the lower profit,

in despite of this,our profit have drop to 4-6%,and we have about 10-15% at this time of last year.

but our client still think our quotation is too high.and they have change to another vender slowly.and I have no idea for this.

You must be a friendly man. [em19]  Be friendly to your customer and gain respective. Do bussiness and make friends.

I feel confused at present. I thought I met a good, kind client and considered him as my friend. We have a fine cooperation at first.  But now I face a problem: Goods of his order will be sent delayed. He was suddenly angry with me and I got hurt. I am so glad to meet such kind client and consider him as my friend. But now just because the goods is delayed some days, he hit the roof suddenly. Some situations are out of my control, I also want everything gets on well, but it is just  a plan. You should comply with the changing reality. Although I didn't feel well then, I have to try my best to comfort  and explain to my client. Then he forgave me. Actually, the problem has been solved, I am sure that I will be blamed by him again, terrible!

I don't think it is easy for me to make friends with my clients. Making friends needs both understanding each other. If we get a little wrong, we will be blamed without any previous  informing. If I consider  him as my friend, I will get hurt. I can't affort it!

we  have to think about what type of clients whom are the same line with us . and then chat with them . this way will bring the business and enjoy the chatting



I agree with u,

 i'm fresh now, my boss give me a client ,he tell me that i should chat related to business with client.

Very happy to hear it.I had same feelings to you one year before when i was working as export sales.But i met some not so friendly foreigners either.So be careful to every customers.Of course,your good service and products wins respect from them.Both of you treat each other like brothers or sisters.That is the happiest time during the work.Anyway,i am sure you will be successful keeping enthusiastic to communication.

Well, thanks very much for your agreement. In fact , being a good export sales is not  so easy. You have to learn a lot for this export field. I have met many kinds of business foreigners. But if your price and goods meet their expectation , they still like to do business with you.  Some times, when we are become familiar, they can tell us a lot ,about his business, his family, his hobbies and so on. You can learn a lot from them. [em1]

Although sometimes we came across some difficulties  in Export, as an export sales, we still keep enthusiasitic about work and life. Do you think so ?

Well, please ask yourself, if you are the clients  and your supplier delay for the goods, what do you think ? You must be very angry with that. Because you shippment is coming, and your other clients need these goods. But you suddenly said that: sorry , man . We can not give you the goods on time. Your client will think you are not a trusted partner any more.

In fact, many cases like yours happened on us. But remember first : Businessmen are always considering the profit first and  friendship second.  They all persue money first. If you let them lose money, no talking.  Delay for the goods can cause a lot lost for both. You should never let this happen again. All the oversea clients hate this.

If you can supply goods on time, you should tell the clients tactfully beforehand. You may say some kind lies to them. Perhaps you should tell clients before a week, to let them have some time to handle this situation. But just one or two days, they will be crazy and very mad about you. You will lose them in  future.

As an export sales you need to have ability to handle something unexpected. Just keep enthusiastic about your work and life. And don not let this delay mistake never happen again. Wish you good luck.....[em1]
