HoweverI don't know who you are and what kind of experiences you have suffered from doing business with Chinese suppliers, I am really suspicious of your own-stated ideas.

Undoubtly, many Chinese electronic manufacturers have its defects in production, as we do by people while most of our foreign competitors do by machine which greatly low dowm the producing effiency and effectiveness. But your 99.9% supplier isjust a lie to yourself. If our quality proves to be so, why there are still so many foreign purchasers, if they are cheated for the first time, why they still come to buy andtake China a sourcing market. This is my heart feeling after engaging in this battery business. There are times our battery failed to meet our foreign customer's standards, but we are not scammer and neither did our customer say so, as we make everything transparent before the deal. We do so, and I knowmost other Chinese suppliers do so as well. So I want to know how you caiculated this 99.9% substandard Chinese suppliers?

Nobody willgiveup chance of making profit ,same to Chinese suppliers, sowill they fail their matured customers by poor quality for short-term profit? absolutely the answer is not. And for business, you just get what you pay for, a penny is not the price of a gold ring. If you pay less, you will of course get worse. Just as everyone features both good and bad, a nation will meet its shortcomings in economy, we must view everything colorless and equal, otherwise where is your most favorable sourcing market?

Edit by Aussie ... find me one, JUST ONE, experienced phone buyer who does not agree with what I said. [em1]

I come to know these in the market now.

Normal type: Normal China made, people can it mixed brands in China, this kind of phones usually export to mid-east, like India, Nigeria etc. The model they operate: defective phones bring or send to factory for reparing.

Europe type: these China made phones can be exported to Australia, Europe, that is like Aussie said developed country. they are phones made from some big manufacturing group, that is like Aussie said 1 in 1000. some of them even have distritutor market in the oversea country.

So, if you are wanting to purchasing this from China, just make the above two kind of suppliers clear, and make sure you get the right supplier for your market.

I read the above for the once time. As a Chinese dealing with phones, I want to tell some truths about phones from China:

1. we all know the certification of FCC,UL,CE,ROHS,and so on, and many products have the ones, many famous Chinese companies, all do well in this field.

2. we all know quality is important in the business, the facts is some good ,some bad, why ? some companies really are not honest but they will never become bigger and also scorned by Chinese; the world is so big, and the economy ,market needs, comsuming level are different,..so some buyers like the cheapest one, of course bad quality, some buys are also dishonest, I met many buyers want me to find the copy laptop and sell them in their own countries as the real one, I am so surprised!!!

3: Of course some Chinese companies sell the copy one of brand, this is not allowed by GOV,and LaW, I also disliked it. but they will tell you it is copy one, you should sell it as the copy one,not the real one.

4. the competition is fieries, many companies are not easy to survive, so maybe some of them are not responsible for the customers, please see clearly.

5. If you want the certificated products, you should consider the costs of the products, please do not only want the cheap cheap ones.

6.many customers from india, middle east, south america, all like the cheap ones, and their customs do not need many certifications, so sold well there.

7. in USA, eu, Chinese phones are sold less than other countries, and the consumer is different yet

in a word, this world is so big, all birds are flying, we all need to have own choice, not judged bu others.

I am Neal, we have the CE ,ccc, phones, of course more expensive than others.

We also have the cheap ones with on certification.

Hi there all my fine Chinese friends.

Please see that my post refers to only electronic products.

You see, in western countries our compulsory quality standards (requiring proper lab tests and proper certification) are much higher than in China.

Also, unlike China, we must fix or replace faulty electronic goods usually within 12 months after sale to consumer. Little is worth fixing because skilled repair workshops (of which there are few) price their labour out at around $100 per hour ... which forces us to replace faulty product with a new product.

And, we must pay even our own lowest paid office clerks at least $20 per hour (including their tax and other stuff) just to answer the phone for customers with warranty complaints. And, unlike China, Government departments here actually take sellers to Court, with no cost to the customer, to get free replacements for faulty products complete with big fines.

So, with added staff and office space costs etc, just one warranty problem at our end costs much money to fix like you wouldn't believe (which is why no Chinese electronic brand has ever succeeded in any country in the West).

Imagine if every electronic product sold in China had to be replaced with a new product if it failed in the first 12 months!!! Near everyone in China would be able to get a free replacement, in the first year, of every electronic product they buy. Correct?

Sure, every Chinese supplier will promise free repair within the first 12 months. But, in my considerable experience, its a promise that is worthless. As you know, Chinese suppliers do not put much weight on the legal aspects of upfront promises under the great Chinese culture of "Everything can be worked out later". Hehee ... that really comes home to bite when you are in a distant country. Your once very friendly sales person now becomes unavailable or "very very sorry, the boss says it's not our fault").

Heck, I've had events like every single phone in a 1,000 order failing after delivery - where we had to recall every phone to re-load the firmware - costing us more than the original price of the entire shipment. Sue the factory? Forget it - we're talking China here.

Broadly, Chinese electronic products are made for Chinese, African, South American and Eastern European markets which do not enforce certification and warranty laws like in developed western countries.

I know the scene pretty well as I have been dealing in China for the past 25 years - one of the first westerners there when it opened up - and my good wife of past 16 years is Beijing-ese where we have strong family and business ties.

It's a cultural difference sort of thing where Chinese electronic suppliers do not understand, and do not want to understand, the product quality and warranty laws of our western countries.

In talking about electronic products, I often say "The only good thing ever made in China is my wife". [em1]

Well said.  I am giving you a standing ovation as we speak!  You know that more and more people are learning the easy way by reading the posts in these forums and therefore not becoming victims.  I receive many emails each day, as well as, phone calls regarding the safe trading of cellular phones.  There still are tose who have lost large sums of money but thankfully they are fewer and far between!
