ALL INDONESIAN MEMBERS - need your opinion here

I read lots of people post that they were being scammed by "Indonesia(?)".
Some might be true, false reports or just a black campaign.
If they are Indonesian scammers we wont denied or stand for it as it is also happened elsewhere too.
One or even thousands Indonesian scammers do not necesarily mean than ALL INDONESIAN are SCAMMERS too.
As we already know that in 2008 we are implying a new law of Information and Electronic transaction (UU ITE) against all kind of cybercrimes whom could be imprisoned for 6 years and or fine up to 1.000.000.000,-IDR.
Of course it wont better happen in just over night but at least we are trying to be.
But this not the reason why I write this topic.
My concern is:
I read lots of posts scattered all over the forum and comments about our country.
In my opinion some gave unfairly and misleading information, cynically comments about our country and jump to conclusion without knowing of what was actually happened or facts.
On the contrary we should not give deceptive informations either.
Allow me to write about the message in my own language:
Kalau bukan kita yg membela Indonesia ,siapa lagi yg diharapkan. Fakta bahwa masih bamyak kekurangan ya.tapi dengan memberikan komentar tanpa data yg akurat akan merugikan kita sendiri.
Tugas kita bersama untuk memperbaiki semua kekurangan tersebut
Orang akan semakin takut berbisnis dengan Indonesia, termasuk dengan anda sendiri khan.
Banyak orang memberikan komentar miring tentang Indonesia,tapi lebih menyedihkan lagi kalau itu ditulis oleh kita sendiri...
...... TELL THE TRUTH NOTHING BUT THE WHOLE TRUTH....SO HELP US GUYS
DONT KILL OURSELF.

If not for us to defend Indonesia, who else has the hope? The fact that there are deficiencies, we admitted. Without accurate data (evidence) but by making comments that is damaging to our self only. Our duty is to work together for the better of our own deficiencies.
People are afraid to do business with Indonesia,, including yourself also.
Many people slant comments about Indonesia, but more sadden if it said by our own people.
Consider all of this topic as an auto critic.....

My opinion Indonesia is good source and good market for many kind of product because of that please make Indonesia as a nice place for your business, any bad new you hear about Indonesia please ignore them and consider as a black campain. Allow me to say, I have done business with Indonesian company before the Asian Currency Crisis in 1997 and after, even until recently. I find that not all the Indonesian companies are thief and not all are cheats. Those who are cheats are not the business people, they are the employees, or the civil people who seize an opportunity to make quick money.
However, if you would to turn the table around, while I was Marketing Manager for a Singapore company. I visited some 20 companies or so, and met all groups of people, including the Pribumi and the Chinese business people, they have the same opinion about Singapore companies. There was one guy who is pure orang asli of Indonesia, he says "Singapore sumua orang tipu."
Please do not do a stereotype opinion on all people because of some bad past experience, which may be true, but does not mean that every one is under the same category of habits and character.
We have very good business with Indonesian company, and the problem started after 3 years of relationship with them. There in the Singapore company was a General Manager, who received a fax enquiry from Indonesia for the product that we have already signed and given the exclusive agency to the Indonesian firm in Jakarta. Secretly he quoted this inquiry, and they made order for 1 piece of the equipment. GM Tay already know about our position and the Agent's position, yet he did a destructive act of infringing the agreement.
After the sale, Indonesian agent brought this matter to our MD and to our principal to launch complaint. The agreement was through the Public Notaris, and they asked their lawyers to issue us their complaint. Actually it was a trap set up by this Indonesian company to catch us doing wrong. We lost the agent, and the sales grind to halt from millions of dollars to zero, and the German company appoints them direct. all because of an a...hole in the Singapore company.
