I post a topic to gather some advices.

I graduated this July from one of the second-rank university in Chongqing as an English major. I passed TEM8 in March. Now I am working in a very small company with about 50 employees in Zhejiang. The boss treat me just as his daughter, providing me lodging and food as well as 1500 RMB per month.

Nowadays, I found I learn nothing those days in this small company. If I leave, it is not good for my boss as well as the B2B market. Since I come to this company, he paid more than 30000 for globalsources. if I leave, no  one can manage this job. On the other hand, the globasources B2B is recommended by my boyfriend and my boss knew that.

Staying in this small company, I felt lonely, because I have no colleague as well as any other companion.

To stay or to leave, that is the problem for me.

Which city of Zhejiang province do you live now?I'm also living and working in the same province.

I read your statement carefully and gladly found you as an honest person to your boss, that's good. But does it come the problem that you are not sure of gainning any valuable future in such a small company within 50 members only.

My adivise is given below:

1,Think of your most important aim of near future.Find out whether there is enough correspondant situation to it.

2.If  the reasons are really not enough for you to stay after a serious thought, just go to have a good talk with your boss and tell him your nice ideas of your own future.

I think he will be pleasant to your honest telling of thoughts. But I hope you carefully and carefully think the first advise over before you decide to leave. The biggest problem is not the company's  scale but your own intension about the future indeed.Because we are easy to find a good job, but wouldn't  we so easy to seek a perfect administer of whom would take you as a "daughter".

What do you want to be or to learn?that should be the first question of all.If you want to have more discussion on it , you can add me for more as you like.^__^

If your boss is willing to spent 30,000 on globalsources, then he must have his plan or is it because of you.

The number of people in the company doesn't matter, it matter on the type of business you are doing. I used to have 5 people in our company and we still manange millions of dollars business. My friend , a property agent sometimes handle million in sales single handedly.

Business can grow, especially in China, and if you really are capable, which I am sure you are, then help the company to grow. The fact that you have ask the boss to spent 30,000 RMB on B2B resources mean that you do see the B2B business posibilities or are you just testing the water.

On the other hand, you are in a better position than we out here to really see any potential in that company.

The only reason for you to leave is when you know that your potential are stifled and you realise that you can fully utilised your capabilties in another company. To stay in a company that have a boss that treat you nice is not reason enough to carry on.

So it is really up to you to gauge the stituation, make some market survey and do some soul searching before you proceed.

I am also considering  this problem these days. In fact , a nice boss is very import for you  to open your market, you need his full support  to establish good business in the beginning. If you boss is not nice, you will be not happy when you negotiate your oders  with your potential customers

It's said that LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAVE.

I also feel lonely when I came here and do not know what to do.I become a little empty.

But I will go ahead with my job since it is here I start my career in this company.

So in my opinion, if you think it is good for you career ,do not care much about the number of the employees in your company because seldom bosses can treat theri staff like you.

Just for reference.
