There were many many buyers that have been treated by some fake suppliers.Then how can we start our business safely?

The most important,choose Paypal as your payment term.Paypal is the best payment term for buyers.To use Paypal,you won't have to worry that pay without getting nothing.If you pay and they don't send the packageyou can send a dispute to paypal.You will get your money back some weeks later if they still don't solve your problem.

of course,I just mean to use paypal for your first order to test the quality and the supplier.After then if you feel they are trusted you can change for other payment terms then.

The second important,do small order for the first time.A small order,say 6pcs of T-shirt or 2pcs of watches and so on can be very helpful for you to check the quality and test whether the suppliers are doing honest business.

but,even if they send you something you still can't trust them.Some frauds might send the first order and never send a second package.

The last but not the least,better check the company's information online or through other way.Sometimes,the company's city locates and the zip code are not matched.And sometimes you can learn they are fraud by the phone number---such as,maybe the company is in Shenzhen city,China but the phone begin with 020,then it must be a fake company,because 020 belongs to guangzhou city,China.

I think most of the buyers and suppliers may know thes but to some new buyers this might help.

Well said. But the real problem is finding the real supplier here on Alibaba.

Tell me, how many factories listed here on Alibaba are actually real factories. I can tell you that most of them are either trading company or middleman.

You call them up and they say yes, we are a factory. Our factory is in  XXXXXXXX when they are actually located in a office building somewhere.

I have seen many so called factory putting their ads here and when you see their address, you will instantly know that they ar a trading company.

Example

Space Rocket Manufacturer

No 1,  Hotdog  Building

Room  # 08 -212

Beijing Road

This will easily tell you that they are a trading company. To me a it is not possibl for a factory to manufacture products in a  unit of limited space..

 

 

 

  what you said are quite ture,more trading companies here in Alibaba than factories.But does it matters whether it is a factory or a trading company?In my opinion,not only can a factory be a supplier but also a trading company can be.As long as they can give you the prices you want and be honestly doing business with you,that's ok.Such as us,we will never tell our cusomers that we are in a factory while we are in a trading company.

 Surely,trading companies are more likely to be bogus and frauds than factories.But as long as you be care enough you won't be treated by them.And here we comes back to the topic:how can we find a trusted supplier?Any one who would likely to give some suggestions?

In China, there are lots of small factories can make many things according to clients' drawings or samples. But those factories are very small, and lack of person who knows doing foreign trading business. It is not easy for any company who are familer with the foreign trading. And lots of small factories hire young girl or young boy with less salary who has less working experiences. But in the trading companies, there are lots of people know doing foreign trading business. It is much easiler for them to communicate with the oversea clients.

In the other hand, due to trading companies only hires some people, there is no equipement, no warehouses, it is a risk for the clients to cooperate with them. There are lots of trading companies there with less than five people.

So lots of oversea clients will visit factories before they place orders. And most of times they feeling disappointed when you find out that the factories is not good enough. So how to let the factories find the right person with more experience of doing trading business, and how to let the trading companies show their professional and honest is very very important!

Those are my feeling, waiting for other's suggestion!
