You must do research in your own industry with specilized catalogs, publications, trade fairs, and chambers of that specific branch of commerce.
Alibaba is just one of the means of the many you have, but it will take some studying, time, and investment before you can know your industry well and who the big players are and above all what practises are best in that industry in dealings, prices, and logistics.
