why nobody want to be paid with PAYPAL?
Post 1 of 138

I do not understand why nobody wants to be paid with PAYPAL. registration is free and charges for sending and receive payments are minimal.
and then, i can trust  of golden sellers pn alibaba.com.

the fact that they pay for to be golden sellers  does not mean that they are honest. right!. there should be a system of feedback type ebay, where when people  buy can be  safe.

Indeed, if I contact a supplier for some  products  who runs more risks is buyer, however, because the supplier will ship items only after payment. for both the supplier does not run any risk, one that runs many more risks is the buyer and must be protected. I think that if there was better control to verify a seller alibaba.com website would be the best in the world for business. bye-bye to all

Some companies do accept PayPal, but not for sample orders. I've been let known that I can use PayPal for an MOQ of 20 units of equipment (around 6000 USD). There are sellers/resellers who do accept PayPal, you just have to find them. Moreover Alibaba is infested with scam companies and fraudsters. PayPal minimizes fraud by giving you control over your payments, this means less control for fraudsters - that's why they're not willing to accept PayPal payments.

I totally agree with the poster. Alibaba should develop a feedback system for sellers and buyers, just like eBay. I'm currently in the middle of a trade process, where everything is based on trust - I don't like this. Escrow payments would be the real deal aswell. The company (Free Member) wants me to make a Western Union transfer. The company has no website, no feedback, no sales reputation - nothing. And only thing that they accept is Western Union. Makes me think twice, or even 10 times before doing business with them.

I would also suggest Alibaba to provide registration information on sellers and buyers - DATE REGISTERED would prove to be so d*mn helpful! I hope this topic makes Alibaba administration think about security. Other than that - great website.

Just my 2 cents. [em20]

Stick to your guns. If they don't accept Paypal and ask for TT in advance or western union and to names other than official company account it smells!!!!!!!!!!

All serious Traders now accept Paypal safe for you the buyer and safe for us the trader ( so that we do not get fraudulent cards payments).

Good Luck!

Paypal is absolutely not suit for China. Its way of thinking and ways of runing very different from chinese.  So most of people use the payap here get freezed and hard to solve it.

And one more thing is that paypal's commission is high. Not just for the reciept the payment but also for when draw the money out. Very high.

I just finish making a $4400.00 transaction throught paypal with a good supplier. This was my first time using this website and i had to take the chance because the product offer was too good. The main reason some companies wont take paypal is because paypal charges an 4% international fee, The company made me pay for the 4% fee to complete the transaction which was about $180, so unlike this company this company who was willing to take paypal has long has you pay for the fee, then is ok to use paypal but other companies wont pay for the fee so they wont accept paypal.

]Because the larger the amount the more they take. Look between ebay and p[ay pal they takew 20 dollars off of each item I seel for 189.00 thats why. they are way overboard in their fees and do nothing rreally except make things easy for which you pay a hefty fee.

Hi,     Wow a likeminded person, ihave just sent this to the seurity admin at alibaba, what do you think. Surely if enough of the 'BUYERS' on alibaba request the systems to protect buyers to be put in place alibaba must take notice and 'progress with the times'. Paul

Why dont you insist that all the 'reputable businesses' either offer 'PAYPAL' or an 'ESCROW SERVICE' for payments, or even do business on the basis of an included invoice that must be paid within a set time after either confirmed dispatch or from receipt of goods. It would strengthen Alibaba's market position if you were to offer the 'ESCROW PAYMENT SERVICE' or set up your own 'PAYMENT SYSTEM' as Ebay has done with 'PAYPAL' that way you could offer 'PAYMENT PROTECTION, until a proper business partnership is established. There is already a company that offers an 'ESCROW SERVICE'  www.pppay.com, may be you could insist that ALL REGISTERED TRADERS/SUPPLIERS  use this system. Paul
