I receive several enquries from USA customers every now and then and these buyers wish to pay by credit card, is it really common to pay by credit cards for wholesale orders?

I recently had an enquiry for 20,000 pcs ipods and payment method required was by credit card. The value of the order would have been over USD3 Million.

Are there really suppliers that would accept?

Nope, not possible.   The highest credit limit allowed by any card company is the American Express Global Pro Business Platinum which is based on 33% of Net income, so unless your client has a personal net income of more than 9 million dollars USD last year its not possible.  To even do this there are a very set criterian for doing FX International Payments.  Besides this why would any Merchant want to pay the high cost associated with accepting an amount like that $87,000.00 dollars off the net transaction.
