Today I want to open new topic about the memory cards and flash drives that these days too many of them are in the world wide’s market. Also too many buyers are interesting to import them and work on them. Too many buyers afraid about this business because of below reason:

1) Quality 
2)  Unreal capacity of storage.
First I want to talk about the different Chip set available in market. Most of them import from HK and .  They are in different quality and different write and read speeds.
One memory card has the main chip set and one semi controller to control speeds and also make the logical connection between the main chipset and computer.
It is necessary to ask the suppliers what is the chipset and controller brands.  Some chip sets really have a bad quality and their life is very short or even don't work.
I don't know this for sure that how much it costs so one 512MB memory cards transfer to 2GB but I guess it would be near 3 to 4RMB.  in China some supplier use this program to cheat their clients, when you take properties from the computer it show that it's 2GB but as real it's only 512MB, the only easy way to test  is copying something near 1.88GB on it. if after 512MB it reported that memory is full then you can be 100% sure that you cheated.

I am sorry for your fail story with this company.

Actually, why don't you chose those direct manufactuer of USB drives and I think it will be better for you.

There is a old Chinese saying goes one time failure, more wiser. Hope you can get better from this time.

I would like to talk more about inside memory card today.



Memory cards have a main Chip set or IC  that has 48 pins.  Produce by two famous model Samsung and Hynex, These two chip set price are much higher than other non brand chip set, the quality of the memory cards on this two Chip set will be much higher at it can work at least 4 years on the hard conditions.



As you know too many hands on this business so some middle men will remove the brand with paint thinner of some other chip sets to protect their business.



16GB and 32GB as our US friend can not find easy in China, maybe they use to 4GB make it 8GB also, the quality will be very low.



Picture No.1 is Samsung Chip set.


Picture No.2 is very bad quality memory cards, some time you can recognize the quality of this kinds of memory cards regarding to the way of the fiber designing on them (I mean map of the circuit)



If you look at the pins of Main IC in picture No.2 you will understand that they attached pins no. 1 , 2, 3 together. also some other pins, that is bad design of the circuit and because hit will transfer to the Chip set when they do this job, some time Chip set will be burn or deduct from it's sensitivity.





Now we talk about Semi controller, Semi controller is very effective on writing and reading speed.  Also there is different brand of this. Also we have two kinds, one have Chip set as picture NO. 1 and one have tar IC that they quality is very bad and technology is totally protected and we can not understand what exactly is inside. They exactly setup in the back of the contactor between the card reader and the main card, So they are very important.  If you see the Original high technology memory cards such as Sandisk or Kingston you will understand that they don't use the Semi, they will compress it inside the main chip set.


Tar IC is very sensitive to damage by hit or working much with the memory cards, they will effect by hit and etc.  You also can see the same of these on NES games. because also NES have hardware game.


Assembling is very important. you can compare the two picture regarding to assembling, Picture no. 1 totally with machine, but no. 2 also with hands.


Fiber use as the bone of the circuit is very important. have different quality, the bad quality will be broken if you press your memory card a little hard inside the card reader.

Now a days there are so many suppliers from shenzhen working with memory cards and many of them provides the wrong information or some how try to cheat the buyer.   Under capacity is a common complaint in buyers.The solution is only to be carefuly check the capacity of memory cards using certain questions as mentioned by  Freeide like  asking the  chipset brand etc. We are doing the purchasing and this option is ofcourse working. I recommend the other buyers to try it.

This is another good chip set for controller that has the good write and read speed and it's about 10RMB =1.50USD  higher than other chip sets. generally they will remove the name of them, but if you open one memory card and see the inside from the size and shape of these controller you can recognize it.  If you looking for high quality memory cards should ask the supplier to supply you with Samsung or Hynex chip set, or else they will give you one memory cards that even when you put  inside your cell phone can not recognize.  Some chip set of memory cards are able to work with card reader and computer but they have problems with mobile phones ( these days we can see on M2 and DVRS) so when you want to check the memory cards, one time check by PC and second time check by mobile phone or PSP. Also in these days I am preparing the pictures of M2,  Micro sd, mini sd card chip sets and controller and will share it in this topic,  later you will be able to recognize the products that you buy better.
