Hi

I have ordered aprox. 20 Cbm of guitars from China and have some questions.

About the B/L  The shipping company I will use will issue the B/L  in accordance with the shipper , right ?

How about the quantity. It will not be a whole container, so what proof do I have that the shipper will send the amount stated on the B/L.  Will shipping Forwarder make a cont of the cartons shipped out or how does it work ?

Can somebody also explain the procedure with the shipping documents. I have a forwarder I wish to use when my products will be ready in 3 months.

Last thing, is L/C  nessecary for the last amount of money to pay to seller.   I have been to the factory and met with the manager and it is a factory with allready known customers. I am very sure they are to be trusted.

Hope somebody can answer

Olsen

The L/C (letter of credit) is what insures you get what is said on the B/L (bill of lading).  Without the L/C, there are no guarantees.  If you have a good freight forwarder, he will take care of this.  I have a great name if you need one.  You can contact me at kwentworth@inxpressusa.com

      Dear Olsen,

      1. Although yr cargo are only 20 CBM, suggest that you insist to use FCL 1 x 20 FT Ctr.

in condition that 'Shipper' will do the proper safety in stuffing the Guitars inside

container. As there is a 9 cbm  free space to avoid hustle jumping jack for the cargoes.

      2. The quantity, to make you sure that the quantity of duitar would be the same as per

your order/ paid .  then you have to appoint somebody to be your "Inspection". it would

be a "Pre-shipment inspection" before stuffing into container,  and this should been

          stated in your L/C.

the agent of inspection could be used SGS surveyors,  or either you can ask to your

forwarder/logistic agent to do the counting/inspection of quantity  upon stuffing it.

in the L/C you have to state: in B/L, discription of goods,  should indicate: Shipper and

"ABC"-repreentative (your agent name of SGS or forwarder agent) load and count.

In this way you will no doubt about how many pieces inside container.

3.Shipping documents, is only Bill of Lading (B/L) that will get after loading/shipped out.

normally been made in 3 original and 9 copies non negotiable set.

anyway, your forwarder will manage this for you. Instruct your forwarder to do checking

the quantity (Tally) when the shipper stuffing the cargo.

      4. If you have paid deposit to them, the balance remain no need by L/C.  just do it in the

condition:  balance payment will be paid after goods been shipped on board via

nominated forwarder(shipping agent). In other words it is a D/P or Documents against

          Payment.
