Hello abebigcat,

You need to tell them your dissatisfaction of this kind of business. Remind them that you are a powerful buyer and your next business deal amounting to that same amount of dollars or more won't go to them again.

You need to make them feel that you are an important customer to them and will be a great business loser if they loose you.

[em4] What can I do about a China company that ripped me off- I sent them over 350k US Dollars and have not received about 70k of goods- Any help will be greatly appreciated-

The first golden rule is you never ,ever tt funds in advance, especially with a new customer irrespective of how you have checked them out.

First shipments should always be paid for by irrevocable LC and include requirement for independent inspection certificate at time of shipment.

As suggested elsewhere all you can do now is engage a mainland legal team to chase your money and/or the goods. You should also contact the local Chinese Chamber of Cimmerce in the town where the supplier is located. If he is a member you can get them to bring pressure on your supplier as they hate to 'lose face'

Really sorry to hear that.   How come you've  paid, but the goods didn't ship out. Maybe 350,000 is just down payment.

If the company is specilized in scamming, it is really slim change to get money back, but since it is huge sum, there should be in a way...

Where does the factory locate?  Do you do final inspection?  For production in China, should be closely followed up, since problems occur all alone. If you just ask can you finish the goods on time?  They will surely answer you by "yes", no matter what is the status.

Precautions is more important. Usually when I follow a order (large quantity, I or OC will go to the factory to check out at least 3 times, sometimes even more.
