This world kills me with this, whole what's real and what's fake. It is all corporate and capitalistic crap. Now, grant it, I have seen some good fakes and some bad fakes. But let's talk about the "good fakes"  which are the items that majority of average  consumers can't tell the difference.  My question is, if these products or so trademarked, then why are the majority of them so easily duplicatable??

Being a ceritfied distributor doesn't mean they don't mix the GOOD fake (average consumer can't tell) stuff with the real stuff to cut back on cost. I know for a fact that there are many department stores, companies who buy high quality counterfeit items. All those certifications don't mean crap. It just basically means they went through all the proper procedures to have a paper trail to cover their butts. But that doesn't necessarily mean they didn't go behind people's back and bought conterfeit items from a manufacturer in China. Come on people. Does anyone ever watch American Greed and learn anything?? And warranties?? lol please, ok, so I manufacure a product that last 5 years and offer a warranty for 2 years?? LOL.. I can tell when people have street smarts versus the people who read books and information without incorporating common sense.

Just one consumer death from a faulty electrical cable, plug or powerpack associated with a fake or uncertified electronic product would attract enough massive Court fines, media publicity and civil law suits for damages to put the importer/distributor and/or retailer out of business.

Furthermore ... and this is a critical factor in the corporate world ... product liability insurance is automatically voided by fake or uncertified product. Corporations and reputable importers/distributors/retailers simply do not deliberately do stupid things which automatically voids their insurance policies. 

Greatlady, I sure don't know where you get your information from.  But it sure tells me you don't have a clue about branded products that have serial numbers on them nor do you understand the concept of Supply Chain Management. 

Most notably, a distributor who sells fakes has no ties to the brand.  Because the serial number blocks can be tied back to each shipment of goods dispersed to the distributor by the brand.  That is "Supply Chain Management"

Don't confuse the recent undertaking of a well known discount retailer who was selling fakes because they decided to buy from another distributor at a much cheaper price.  That discount retailer was suied by the brand for selling the fakes and the settlement wasn't cheap.  The discount retailer had to reimburse the brand owner 100% of the retail price they charged the buyers.  Then lets not forget the distributor that sold them.  The FTC fines and subsequent lawsuit by the brand owner totally liquidated their business into nothing. 

If you want to play in the "fakes" & "Copies"  game you better have alot of money and a very large legal team on retainer.  Even now that the FCC has new powers over the internet.  You can be fined and have a lawsuit brought against you for selling a fake anything on an e-commerce site.  Then lets not forget the Ebay settlement with LVMH France in that ebay allowed fakes of their products to be sold on that site.

It sounds like your motto would be "Seller of fakes and copies until I get caught"

No, I don't have a motto. I just hate for people to paint a pretty picture of the corporate world. If there wasn't such a thing called corporate greed, then maybe alot of items could be reasonbly priced because the bottom line is the majority of "Brand name" items AREN'T WORTH THE PRICE!!  which causes people to constantly look for a better deal. I think it just bothers people, to know, the actual cost to make a product  can be let's say $200.00 and the sale price is $2000.00. Come on, how greedy can we get?

As far as electronics, wouldn't it be easier if  attorneys would just DIRECTLY go after the manufacturers of fake  products as opposed to going after resellers one by one?? If everyone knows that a certain company in China manufactures replicas, then how come no one shuts them down?? Some of those companies have been accessible for years. I'm not sure how the law works over there, but this has been an ongoing issue, and I have seen more and more of these companies grow bigger and bigger. So exactly who is cracking down on what?

This is just my opinion. Take it how you want.  I have not been on this site long, but can any of the experts on here direct me to a list of legitamate suppliers because there seems to be alot of ones that are operating illegal so where are the good people? So far I have read about scammers and bad people. Why does alibaba exist?

Straight to point: Not worth buying atleast a MAC from china... you will lose your money for sure. I tried cellphones too but all in vain. Still have 2000 units of stock lying here at warehouse. Want a genuine stuff try South Korea or Taiwan.

BUT FROM ALL THE ABOVE ANSWERS..? MY ADVICE IS: DON'T DO IT..!

Do not send any money western union to any of these chinese companies. The macbook airs are not authentic and are fakes. I recently purchased a digital camera, ps3, iphone, macbook air, purse, from a company in China. I western union the money (they had promised all items are authentic) and I recieved only half of my order. The PS3 does not work, the purse they sent ended up being a wallet, the iphone turned into a fake reject ipod that didn't work. They said the macair book was sent, but was not. All in all I lost $2,000.00 in the deal. This company is corrupt and would not do anything to fix the problem since they already have my money. The company is called  dingfengtrade.com. They ripped my company off and are not willing to do anything about it. I would not deal with any company in china. Thank you

In last week I correspond with "Jack" from Boteqi Trade Company: http://boteqi.en.alibaba.com/ about MacBook laptops.

He send me offer with nice pictures, and  attractive prices.

I asked him if he has more Apple assortiment - he said of course and send me full offer with iMac, iPhones, MAcBook Air, etc. and additionaly certificate, that his company SHENZEN BOTEQI TRADE COMPANY is authorized by Apple to wholesale distribution Apple computers in China. On certificate was name "Jason Israel", and I asked "Jack" who is Jason - he tell me: "  Hey the name of Jason Israel is the name of CEO of apple international .".

OK, but I'm enough clever to check on internet is this certificate is true or who is Jason, and I got Jason Israel site and original certificate http://www.greatknight.com/certs/Apple-Lan.jpg .

I asked Jason is he trully distributor of Apple in China, he wrote: Why would

This is poor if Alibaba have this kind of members :-(. There is a lot of suppliers who offers 500$ MacBook, but it must be fake!
