How to choose a right laptop supplier in China?
Post 1 of 31

Dear Friends

I am an unexperienced businessman and I am facing difficulties while picking up a right supplier of laptops in China.

How can I avoid fraudsters? Could anyone suggest me real decent Chinese suppliers? How should I pay for a sample? I always turn down proposals to pay via Western Union. Is it right?

Award 10 MVPs ( What's this? )for the best answer.

if it is a large order, never, never, ever pay by western union. If they refuse to use escrow they are pretty much not legit. Also use your own escrow company or large firm as some are fakes.

Firstly, what kind of laptops are you looking for?  If you are looking for the branded ones like Sony, IBM, HP, Compag, Fujitsu, it is best you look for the authorised reseller or distributor in China.  But if you are looking for OEM barnds, I would sincerely suggest that you ask about the configuration, technical spec., buni-in and reliability test, warranty and after-sales services they provided other than prices.  On the safe side, you should try out one sample first.  Once you are satisfied with this sample unit, I would then suggest than you pay these laptop suppliers in China a visit to check out their organisation.  Beware they are traders and other middlemen.  If you have volume, you should deal directly with the manufacturers.  Good Luck!

For these high quality electronic porducts, If the forecast quantity is large enough, i totally agree with the former writer, to find the producer dircetly which can ensure both quality , better price, and better after services.

If the volume is not too big, you can find the authorized angent of these loptop in china.
