Refer to the "Payment-Cost" which ever it is, (could be Escrow, Pay Pal, Banks or agent)

To Whom that the charges, fee, commission etc would be chargeable ? Buyer or Seller?

Which is ?

I think it should be in the buyer's charge. But in many case, the buyers don't want to pay so much charges. So if you don't want to miss this client, you can share part of the fee with your buyers.[em7]

Customarily this is absorbed by the buyer for and up to the intermediadry charges.   The charge that the suppliers bank charges them for the transfer should already have been made part of the purchase price.  Thus the amount actually credited to the suppliers account would be the wholsaee price under the shipping terms agreed to.

Bank charges are not the same from all banks.  For instance if the buyer maintains a business account with HSBC there would be no intermediary charge for a transfer to Mainland China if the supplier also held an account with one of the four largest banks of China.  Also, the Pro Forma should indicate exactly who the suppliers bank is and in that way the buyer can check to find out the intermediary charges to that bank.  If both buyer and seller hold accounts with sub-prime banks the the buyer should be responsible for the transfer charge up to the Mainland prime bank and the supplier incurr the charges of the intermediary on their side of the transfer.  The buyer should never incurr the intermediary charge in China as it was the suppliers choice to choose a sub-prime bank thru which to conduct business.

Knowing the costs attributed to the transfer on both sides eliminates confusion and annimosity in completing any business deal from both perspectives.

      Thanks Mr Ranger,

So this is another  3rd  one

      - It could and could not bear to buyer's  or  Supplier/Seller

      - It could be Seller's pay  and  Buyer's Pay

      - It could be bear b both  buyer and seller

Either One depend  on  the pre-nego and subject to agreement  and  the payment  method

as well  as  arranged/agreed by  both buyer & seller

by  then  we are  very close to the stage of  conclusion ?

i have read everyone's comment. i believe some of you guys are really confused and i can understand why.  If a buyer transfers money to your account, the buyer is paying that charges. The second charges on the receiving side (seller's side)  is not the responsibilty of the buyer. The seller is responsibly for the second charge.  It is both cruel and inhuman for buyers to bear all charges and if this is what some of you are doing, watch out, because you will soon loose your customers. It is the same senario just like saying the buyer should pay for your website charges. Just like you cannot ask the buyer to pay for your website charges, you cannot ask the buyer to pay for those second charges. This is a win win situation.  Who doesn't want to make profit, everyone does

     Well  Russgya,

     what's such an expression .. Russ ,

So according to your expression,  both will bear their own payment-cost each.

Buyer will bear the transferring money  and Seller will bear the so whatever charges that

     may comes from the Payer.

As like Ranger's said previously,  Each side would bear their own cost-factor in respective

the "Payment". especially in foreign exchange transaction.

Audiences, we are getting to finalie  this question !

First we should confirm the details of sample, even minute dimension, pattern, color, materials, tolerance etc.

Then if the sample is really small and light, and small in value, then the factory should send more choices for recommendation, you could check them first with your customer.

Last, come to share the mail cost.

Anyway, stand in both's sides way, and work towards mutual benefits, therefore lasts the coorperation.
