Hi,

I have a small business and have contacted through email a Company located in China that has some guitars that I am interested in.

They have told me that they can ship these by sea to me for a Price of $90.00 and said $90 is the freight of arriving at Phoenix warehouse.

I live in Phoenix Arizona, I'm thinking they mean shipping will arrive in LA?

What is the best way to then get these shipped to my address, I was told I need to find an LA import service?

I am just trying to gather some information before jumping in. thanks

It is possible they are quoting you a price to be landed in Phoenix, but I doubt it. They would be shipping to LA/Long Beach then the shipment would be trucked (or trained) to Pheonix and at THAT point they would be doing the customs gig. (kind of)

I can't really answer you properly without a little more detail. Is that $90 you mention the price of the guitar AND the shipping, or is the 90 bucks just the shipping per guitar?  You need to give us a bit more detail for a more accurate answer.

 

HI i suggest you to ask more companies and ask about their delivery cost by air. only $90 for air freight is impossible. it is  unbelieveable.

The best way you can use DHL International Parcels service and it will be delivered to your address but I do not know the cost of that in your country.

If not very big quantity,maybe you can check international express like FedEx or DHL ,they can give serivce door to door.but  you must get the gross weight from your factory first.

Hi why not just ups the lot from original destination as that will work out better i always say its good to ship if you live by the port but if not it tends to work out better for delivery company to do the leg work, ok.

90$ it can be possible if they are charging that per kilo, coz that translates to about 12.5rmb, however they need to tell you the cost per CBM and how  many peices will fit per CBM so that you will be able to calculate your cost per peice.  You need to give them your nearest Port. Not unless they are using thier own agent to clear from your port and deliver to your door step.

I would avoid DHL, it is faster yes but very expensive for something you are buying to sell.

I think it's possible,not crazy. the important thing is they said that's freight ,but not all charge. Ang if your goods measure is below 2 cbm,it's possible.

You said you was told need to find an import service,it means you must declare the goods by yourself, and  pay the charges yourself too. I think it's a normal way.

If you want to avoid this perplexing things ,you can via express,but i think it will cost much higher than 90$.
