Some people ask for agent of our product.Normally I will send samples to them.However,they need free sample even don't pay shipping cost! I advise they pay sample fee then I return to them after continuous order placed.They simply said"No"!

i think the client do not have the sincerity to do busines.maybe he only need some free samples for his own use. he should pay the courier at least.

Simply ignore these people, there are too many out there to con you. How is he going to do business without even the ability to affort a sample.

That is the problem that all of us have to face to it one way or another.
As you know the buyer that have problem to send even this small money how can buy your products in future. Also you have to add some cost on original price for sample charge. If they will simply answer no, ignore them. But sometime some client has problems to sending this small money or they need to see this sample as soon as possible, I don't know that the cost of your sample is high or not. But if your customer talk with you, you can understand that he is professional buyer or some bodies that think supplier are stupid, let's go take some free sample. most of the time the professional buyers know that they have to pay the sample cost and shipping cost and if you see most of them have DHL and UPS picking number, even no need you write down their address.
Before I also offered the free samples, later understand that samples sent and no reply, which means he didn't want to pay money and have one of your products. I love PDA mobile phone, let's go and find one stupid and big supplier!!!! I think you got it.
Also in other way they do is, they asking for large quantity so make your prices very down. After they say we need the sample and put you on pressure that we need free sample, or they ask give them at the price you already gave to them. They buy 10pcs samples with the prices of 1000pcs. Shame on them
What you did is CORRECT.
I often "buy" samples from manufacturers and I am very happy to pay for the samples and the postage. This is because (a) I actually do research before I enquire (b) I am honest and respect another persons work, time and energy.
We have an expression in english that "A Fool and his money are soon parted". In other words, if you are foolish and GIVE AWAY your products for free, then soon you will have no job and no money.
You are even Honest and offer them a refund for their samples from the main order.
MY ADVICE
My advice to you is that these people asking for Free samples are dis-honest and you are wasting your time and money dealing with them.IF they cannot afford to research and find out if the product is actually what they need, then they are just too stupid to deal with and if they simply cannot afford the Sample, Then they cannot afford to but large orders from you. Or they are just dishonest.
You CANNOT GET every sale and there are a LOT of "FREELOADERS" looking for anything for nothing.
Do Not change your attitude. You are doing the right thing.

Never ever give any free sample to any so called interested customers.Now a days you must not trust any party as mostly they are all frauds.The genuine and interested parties will always pay for the samples and as a good gesture you can return them the money once they place orders and pay for those.We think this is very very fair.
Our suggestion is that no company should give any sample to any party not even to their Agent/Distributor "Free Of Cost" unless ofcourse they keep huge margin of profit to sustain such losses and encourage the frauds.
We had been giving the samples free of cost and suffered huge loss and now we know that no genuine party will ever hesitate to pay a small amount for the samples if they are truly interested to do business and deal in those products.Ofcourse even after supplying the best samples,fixing up the rates etc.you may still fail to get any order,as many parties now a days try to duplicate your products.But you will not atleast lose further money by giving them your product sample free of cost and allowing them to steal away your business with products of inferior quality,but at a cheaper rate.That is how business is done in these days as most of the buyers in under developed and even developing countries look for only cheap price and they are least concerned about the ultimate quality of the products they buy or sell.
These are our openions from the experiences we have gathered during our business of more than 10 years now.But genuine parties are stll there who pay for the right products and they procure only from the original manufacturers who know how to give quality and they do not accept any supply from Duplicate Stuff of Cheap Sources.Duplicating a product just by seeing it is very easy,but maintaining its quality is very difficult as there are so many factors involved which only the original manufacturer keeps as his secrete which no duplicator will not know.
