In general, have noticed that people differ throw ages and sex in their demand for laptops and there are easy ways to convince them in a specific laptop.   Usually females come with very little idea about  hardware so no need to go technical just tell her this laptop is light weight, slim and stylish “you can complement her after that”,… It comes with a built in webcam so your friend can see you while chatting. it also comes preinstalled with word, excel … she will make you show her every laptop in the store and eventually she will buy the first one you showed her.

  Males are the practical type just tell them that this laptop will finish your job it’s rugged so your children would not brake it, make him hold it a little and tell him it is a little heavy not like the cheap ones and he will buy it fast like selling candy for a child.

Most teenagers are unpredictable you just go technical and show them what they ask for.
