This is the old news occurred last week in China: A famous young singer Star---Ms.Meng Guangmei has been ripped off (cheated) nearly Five hundred million RMB by her Italian boyfriend. The Italian guy cheated her for several times and asking her at all times for money in name of investment. He escaped with all her money last week but fortunely as he has been detained by local Customs in China.
Five hundred million RMB ! this is a huge sum for most of people worldwide. I don't know how she was ripped off but it seems that she loved the Italian guy too much. Many similar cases have happened around me, one of my colleagues used to marry a USA guy but was abandoned after a 3-year marriage. A friend also has to divorce with her UK boyfriend for some reasons. Many Chinese girls are longing for a romantic and popular international marriage nowadays but some despicable Love swinndlers are trying to utilize their 'kind love' in China!
This is a warn to all the girls worldwide: You'd better marry the guy from your own country, at least you should spend more time checking whether his love to you is true or not before you focus on him all your life !!
Good that in the end you switched from only warning Chinese girls to warning girls in general. But if you believe that this can only happen to Chinese girls or girls at large, you'll be in for a surprise...

Chinese culture and social behavior is very complicate sometime, everything have Chinese way and for a foreigner who get married with one Chinese girl some time is not able to obey these. If you don't follow these rules you will be special on the people eyes.
Other reason that nowadays if somebody see one Chinese girl and one foreigner they don't regard that these two wed. Chinese call the boy friend (older brother). Some of the girls that already married don't like this feeling, sometime they reaction and sometime they will be silent, this silent later will appears in relationship life and make some problems.
Chinese family the other reason: It's too hard to deal with father in law and mother in law specially if they be too traditional. Because they love their daughter and also afraid that she will cheated soon, start to bring some problems to avoid this relationship.
