can any one plse teach me how do we handle payment term fm AFRICA ( south or west -any where) which they usually asking for 45 days bill of exchange?
meaning the goods will be send ( by sea shipment) to them and allowing them to clear the goods fm the customs and start selling or what ever they need with its ---but payment fm them only make after 45 days ...may i know ;
1- is this normal ?..i could not get any answer fm the embassy here in Singapore ....
2- what gurantee do i have on hand they will pay after 45 days ? or what happen they do not pay ? what action can i take legally?
3- i do not have any thing on hand -even the BL also gone bec they can clear the custom with its ?---this risk factor is 101% that i had mesaure so far to do business with them
4- is there any better form of payment mode ?
i am quite stuck with such un-usual payment term ---i do not know why --so this actually stop many exporters to sell their products to this country
