Generally In China they know this products as pen drive, flash drive, USB cool disk, USB flash memory and etc. It's depond on what is the supplier undrestanding of this technology. As one of our friends in this topic answered they call it pen drive because it's look like a pen.
The real name of this products as you also mentioned is USB flash drive but if you want to comminucate with supplier you also can use the pen drive.
These names all one products but regarding to Technology I would like to open it in more details that what is the difference between flash drives.
Chinese Supplier import the Flash (IC) from HK or taiwan, there is too many kinds of brands, no brand and etc. Different Chip sets, different speeds and different qualities. After chip set fixed on the board it's the time to format it and setup the program and defragment. Some body asked me how they can upgrade the storage, for example you want to buy 2 GB flash drive, it's possible to change some part of the programs so one 512Mb flash disk will be 2GB. It's very often happen these days In Shenzhen, I hope everybody have the safe and protected business.
