Replying to [DEEPAK]: Hello Deepak, I am in the process of doing my first transaction with a supplier in China. He is a gold supplier and has also sent me his ISO certificate. How can I verify if the certificate is authentic? I have asked for references outside of China, but was told it is against company's policy to supply names of customers. Can you offer any advice to me

Of course you do, i mean how can you have no doubt about someone you never saw, a company you most likely never heard of and Alibaba, whom reputation have been declining with me, is unable to provide an effecitve method to develop trust betweens its members.
To be honest i dont mind using WU or TT as transaction methods cause sure enough, suppliers do need money to get their products and they do have doubts like buyers, it is just common sense. WU was built on the Trust principal in the first place and its mis-uses like here is destroying the hard works that WU founders did!!!
With the extrodinary fees that Alibaba is currently proposing just for a TrustP *, which can still be frauds!!! For a small business like myself, a starting $400 US/yr cost just doesnt justifies itself with Alibaba current system, it is considered as Waste. Sure when Alibaba have improves its system i will certainly be considering such fee, as you know a cost is justifies by its benefits and i have yet to find it here.
I do however commend Alibaba on its recent attempts on making a safer and trust worthy place with Trade Manager and hope that in the future Alibaba will continues to improve its service even more.

My annoyance has become unreliable sources responding to my buying leads. I also clearly specify there that if you can not fullfill my specified criteria do not respond. I'm in the business of plasma and LCD televisions, however I have people trying to supply me with kitchen utnesils. Also, most of these "gold suppliers" are over quoting/pricing their units. I find it annoying because they're cutting the price so razor thin, it makes very little sense to do business. They're quoting prices just under retail. By the time I pay duties amongst other expenses, there would be little profit for myself.
I think what few suppliers understand is the value of return business. If you over quote me (even if I do buy) and someone comes along for a better and more far price, I'm gone. Making good profit once is not better then consistent profit. No one is going to buy something completely out of a decent price range. Suppliers need to think of the length of time its going to take to find businesses willing to take their outrageous pricing. Its few and in between. By the time you get that deal you have to put all your eggs in one basket. If you have fair pricing, you'll have an abundance of consumers, and business will always be thriving. If anyone knows of reliable and affordable suppliers in plasma and LCD televisions, could you please contact me?
